| jedi818705-14-04, 10:09 PM | This is the continuation of the orignal charecter concepts thread. This is for fully fleshed charecters(or mostly). Stats, class levels, skills, feats, and major spells(if applicable) would be apriciatated(sp?), so we get the idea of how this charecter would be made. On stats I ask you to use the elite array for consistency. My first one is a Halfling Druid who has taken to mounted combat on his animal companion. He is a wander by nature, and is rather good with animals. Name: Cade Underbough(may cahnge when Eberron is released) Race: Halfling Classes: Druid* 1 Alignment: LN but appears CN. He strictly follows one rule: Nature must not be hurt, and it must be preserved. Outside of that he could honestly careless, but he will never break that rule. Stats(using Elite array**): Str-12 Dex-10 Con-13 Int-12 Wis-15 Cha-10 Skills: Maxed Ride, Handle Animal, Listen, Spot, and Survival Feats: Weapon Prfoicency(Lance), Track(Bonus from variant druid) *:He will be a variant Druid from UA losing wild shape and armor/sheild proficency, but gaining Monk AC bonus(including Wis),fast movement(as monk), Favored enemy(as ranger), swift tracker(as ranger), Track feat (as ranger) **:I actually plan to roll stats this is just to show the order of importance of his stats. Advancement: Class Progression: 8 levels of Halfling outrider, rest Druid. Skills: Keep above maxed Feats:Mounted Combat, Ride by Attack, Mounted Archery, Spirited Charge, Trample, |
| WilliamPall05-14-04, 10:24 PM | Isn't a level 20 character a bit high powered for Eberron at this point? |
| jedi818705-14-04, 11:10 PM | It was just a full idea, but you have point, so he's at level one and has advancemetn stuff. Is that better? For this thread please post the charecter at the lowest level you will use them and then some notes on advancement. Also please use the elite array for stats, just makes it more consistent. The elite array is 15,14,13,12,10,8. |

| Brastan05-17-04, 03:16 AM | Aaaaaahhhhh.... Sorry for getting to this late. I've been cursing the dial-up all day no reason to stop now. Ya okay here's Lord Crimson as he currently exists. This may be long. Lord Crimson: LE Medium Humanoid (Human) Ftr 6 / Swashbuckler 3 HD: 9 (54 hp) Init: +7 Spd: 30 ft. This includes a small retune that follows him around during court functions. He treats them well since they have earned his loyalty. He is most trusting of a bewitching enchantress, called Lady Ishíal, who hangs on his every word and deed. Lord Crimson shows only moderate compassion to the other members of the Strikers since he must be able to continue to work for the origination for the time being. He has almost no regard for any others, even the nobles he socializes with. People he believes are beneath him are treated with contempt. Those who brake his view of the world become targets of his wrath. Tastes and Preferences: Lord Crimson spend his what little leisure time he has in several ways. When he's not with the Strikers he's hobnobbing with nobility. He's always attending one function or another. But when there aren't any he takes the time to practice his swordsmanship with other Strikers. Some times Ishíal will gets alone and they'll strategize on how to advance his goal of becoming a land owning noble. He likes to show off is martial skills whenever he can. He tries for flare and style over efficacy. During battles he seeks out the those who are giving his men the most problems and attacks. He also enjoys the occasional duel with courtiers he's goaded into challenging him. Lord Crimson shows off his finesse in such engagements, proving his mastery with the elven thinblade he wears. Lord Crimson dress to impress and will eat only the finest foods when he has the opportunity. He also has a modest interest in finally crafted elven blades, he has a small collection. He does not keep any pets and sees most of them as frivolous fashion accessories. Surroundings: (Pending CSB) History: (Pending CSB) Network: Lord Crimson is directly affiliated with the mercenary organization know as Strikers. He acts as one of the three main commanders of organization and is the groups Liaison with wealthy nobles. As a resolute Lord Crimson has made several connections with influential nobles. This gives him access to an amazing array of resources. However he is hesitant to tap them heavily. He has also made some enemies in the same circles. Appearance: Lord Crimson is a very tall and slider human with a long and augural face. His extremely eloquent gold trimmed, red and black dress uniform hides his thin frame and makes me look more impressive. The flared sleeves and large boots give me an appearance of strength. A matching cap with is adorned with a single red gemstone and two other are embedded in his cuffs of the uniforms jacket. (Got a question, Ask) |
| jedi818705-17-04, 03:00 PM | You weren't kidding when you said you'd stated him out, Brastan. Very nice, and very detailed. Perhaps i shall go back and do the Same for Cade and Zhane. |
| JohnnyONeal05-17-04, 04:28 PM | It's fun to see people having fun with this. To avoid being overly repetitive for people who have been to my site, I'll just link to my character concepts here: http://www.coveworld.net/eberron/allies.html (http://www.coveworld.net/eberron/allies.html) Coming soon: a weather-themed Lhazaar sorceress, an Argonnessen barbarian who came of age in Darguun gladiatorial arenas, and a half-orc ranger descended from mighty Gatekeeper druids. BTW, Brastan, was the format you used to present the roleplaying info for your character adapted from another source or your own creation? Just wondering. :) |

| Brastan05-18-04, 03:39 AM | It would be cool if you could supply more info on the strikers, his place within the power structure and the groups goals too. Thanks for asking. Hum... Well to keep the first part as simple as possible, Lord Crimson is the go between for the strikers. He arranges all of the jobs and lines up wealthy employers. As for the groups power structure and goals, thats going to take a bit (simple put I never thought about to much). The Strikes came into existence for the sole purpose of providing Crimson with money. I need a reason to justify his lavish expenses. I will being work on the group and post. (Now were did I put the relevant Dragon Magazines) *Reserved for Strikes Organization Listing* *Edit Friday June 4, 2004 Strikers stat block is below* P.S. Thanks again for asking Myriddian. I'm beginning to see villainy as a tree. It has one trunk that spawns many roots and branches. |
| ham2anv05-18-04, 12:01 PM | Virtue, Warforged Pal1: CR 1; Medium Construct (Living Construct); HD 1d10; 10 hp; Init +1; Spd 20 ft.; AC 21, touch 11, flat-footed 20; BAB/Grp +1/+2; Atk +2 melee (1d8+1, longsword) or +2 ranged (1d8, longbow); Full Atk +2 melee (1d8+1, longsword) or +2 ranged (1d8, longbow); Space/Reach 5 ft./5 ft.; SQ aura of good, detect evil, DR 2/adamantine, warforged traits; SA smite evil; AL LG; SV Fort +2, Ref +1, Will +1; Str 13, Dex 12, Con 10, Int 10, Wis 12, Cha 13. Skills and Feats: Diplomacy +5, Knowledge (religion) +2, Sense Motive +3; Adamantine-Laced Body. Equipment: longsword, heavy steel shield, longbow, quiver with 6 masterwork arrows and 14 standard arrows, backpack, 50 ft. of hempen rope. Background: I was once a killer. Designed by men to fight their war, I was heartless then, but not soulless. When the time for me to kill was over, I was set free to wander this world. I was free to think about the things I had done. Yes, it may have been easy to end the soft flesh lives of enemy soldiers. But I came to realize that it wasn’t right. Just because one was strong enough to kill did not give one justification in doing so. All souls are sacred, whether they are housed in flesh or metal. And so, in a dream, the only dream I have ever known, the Silver Flame found me and embraced me. My soul was washed clean of the sins of war, and my mind was given new clarity of purpose. My old life was gone; I existed now only to serve righteousness. I travel now, never sleeping, never stopping except to right the wrongs I invariably come across in this sinful world. I kill only when I must, to protect the innocent or to ensure that I continue fighting. What reward I find is purely spiritual; my equipment is maintained, and all other wealth I give to those who truly need it. I am the traveler, the path is righteousness, and the destination is a glorious tomorrow. |
| WilliamPall05-18-04, 11:02 PM | i'm curious to know what virtue will have as a mount when he reaches that point in his career . . . |
| Myriddian05-19-04, 02:34 AM | Originally posted by Brastan P.S. Thanks again for asking Myriddian. I'm beginning to see villainy as a tree. It has one trunk that spawns many roots and branches. Hope you don't my borrowing this guy. He is too good not to! Also like Virtue the the 'forged paladin  This going to be a handy little thread I think. :D |
| ham2anv05-19-04, 11:13 AM | I'd imagine Virtue wouldn't bother calling a mount. Never having to stop to sleep or eat means he doesn't really need a mount for transportation. He thus wouldn't train in mounted combat, either. |
| jedi818705-19-04, 02:34 PM | This going to be a handy little thread I think. Thats what I was planning on. You can pick up whatever charecters you want and plus its just fun hearing such imaginative people's ideas. |

| Brastan06-05-04, 02:18 AM | Ah... Sorry about this post but I messed up when I did my reserver spot thing. Okay, a wee bit in coming and not completely done... The Negation Strikers The Negation Strikers were original just another nameless mercenary company that fought during the Last War. It had little success and even worse survival rates until one bloody and epic battle were most of the senior officers were killed. It was left to a low ranking phalanx commander, Anciler Negroth to rally the pitiful remains of the unit and make an organized withdrawal. He was aided by Felix Needler, a charismatic swordsman also seeking a way out of conflict. Since the end of the Last War Negroth has been trying to rebuild the Strikers. He has setup a home base just outside of a large metropolis. As a unit the Strikers are still recovering from the Last War, but they have made some significant financial gains that have placed them in the position of being a respected organization. Members of the Strikers are currently being hired out as guards for nobles and merchants. Negation Strikers (medium): AL LN; 85,000 gp resource limit; Membership 250; Mixed (humans 79, half-orc 9, half-elf 5, dwarf 3, halfling 2, warforged 1, elf 1). Authority Figures: Captain Anciler Negroth, male, human, Frt10 Important Characters: Felix Needler, male, human, Ftr6/Swashbucler 3 (Commander); Fillup Gearce, male, half-orc, War8/Cavalier 1(Calvary Commander); Jarira, female, elf, Exp7/Spymaster 2(Spy Master) Others: Exclusive; War4 (1), War2 (2), War1 (237), Ftr3 (2), Ftr1 (1), Exp2 (1), Exp1 (1), Magewright1 (1), Adept1 (1) Notes: All members of the Strikers have access to master crafted arms and armor. They also have access to a free accommodations based on there rank and position at the Strikers' compound. *All below are in the works* Organization Size and Resources The Negation Strikers are considered a medium sized organization inside of a metropolis setting. Despite their size the Strikers have access to a lager amount of resources. They can spend up to 85,000 gp in one week and not brake the bank. This is due to the nobles and merchants that Felix Needler (Lord Crimson) has hooked into being clients. Organization Alignment and Leadership The Organization as a whole keeps its word and honors its contracts. There is some friction among the leadership. Particularly between Needler and Gearce as there methodologies don't quite match. Like wise both Negroth and Gearce are uncomfortable with Jarira and how she conducts spying. In a way the peacemakers are Negroth and Neeler. However everyone respects Negroth's authority and won't go against any 'firm' decision he makes. Organization Membership and Demographics The Strikers are mainly composed of warriors and fighters who served during the Last War. (the stat block shows [Class, Level (Actual Number of that type)]. Negroth has just recetly begun to expand who he brings into the organization. The brake down of races in the Strikers is by percentage of members (79% human, 9% half-orc, etc.). All of the Warforged in the Stirkers are fighters, for the timebeing, all of them fought in the Last War. Joining the Negation Strikers (not sure yet, but it at latest involves an interview with Gearce, Needler, and Negroth. Jarira only gets involved when it comes to recruiting spies.) In the Campaign (This is being made with Eberron in mind but could be placed in any setting, just pull any reference to the Last War and maybe replace the Warforged with gnomes or hobgoblins. Also you could pull the Magewright and up the number of Adepts) Music for the Strikers Leadership *I've been listing to the Turks/ShinraCo. music from FF7 while making this and I think that's what I'll end up using for them. I found some remixes for the Turks song that will make the theme last.* *The leadership of the Strikers will be posted separately when they are completed. I hope I haven't created a self-growing ooze here, staring with Lord Crimson. Already he's become a needle, I just didn't it expect to be in my side. ;) |
