Anyone notice the Frostburn gallery? There are a few interesting pictures, including the "Frostfell Mountains" and "Frostfell Humanoids". I could have sworn that we read somewhere that Frostburn would not have Eberron related content. Why oh why then would you torture us like this WotC? PLEASE don't use the same term!

My hopes are going up. I'm about to fill up my bathtub with ice cubes and warforged minis. Help calm me down! ;)

The terminology of Frostfell as used by The Frostburn supplement is not meant to reference the continent of the same name in the Eberron campaign setting. It is used to refer to an extremely hazardous frozen environment, be it a lair, dungeon chamber, land area, etc.

I do wonder, however, how many people will be buying the supplement who think they're getting a regional sourcebook for the Eberron setting...

I'll still use it though :D

Yeah, I mean... Zeuglodon is just plain scary looking.

Not to mention the Frost Mage and Polar Mariner, Ice toads, and Ice Gargoyles. I'm in love. :D

I wonder if you have to a frost giant to be Rimfire witch :D

Hoping it'll be good for my arctic-themed homebrew I want to make. Maybe it'll hit the SRD eventually...

In the meantime, I'm sure it could be useful for a northern/Frostfell region of Eberron.

I do wonder, however, how many people will be buying the supplement who think they're getting a regional sourcebook for the Eberron setting...I think the approach they're taking is the best of both worlds. It's got everything you need to run a Frostfell campaign in Eberron, but it's also great for homebrews and other campaign settings.

Part of what they're doing is adopting "the Frostfell" as a generic term for the snowy, icy part of the world in any D&D setting. It's exactly like the way they use "the Underdark" to mean "scary underground places."

But you can really connvert the underdark book tp Eberron all that well :embarrass

At the moment I would say no Kybher is pretty different then the FR Underdark. Since it lacks drow. Still the other parts of the book would work fine I believe. Still I would take my comments with a grain of salt since I have only looked through the Underdark book briefly.

It may be like the monster manual III, with a bit at the end of each entry on how to use this monster in Eberron and another bit on how to use this monster in Forgotten Realms. I don't know though, as I have yet to see frostburn in person.

From what i've heard on other boards monster manual iii has info on how to incorporate the creatures ;) in to a FR and Eberron, maybe this is true for frost burn.

I would like to see a Dragonshards article or something about which of the Frostburn cultures might make the most sense for adapting into Eberron.

Wow! Is Frostburn as good as it looks? I love the classic At the Mountains of Madness syle of adventures and this looks like it might fit nicely.

If I recall, Frostburn was originally going to be called "Frostfell" but was renamed specifically so people would NOT think it was an Eberron supplement.

Well, Frostburn's out in the UK from Wednesday, so it'll be interesting to see all the coolness (pun intended) within...
...and yep, I'm already planning the group's first expedition to Frostfell...
