Edymnion 08-08-07, 08:13 PM	This happened to the group I'm playing in the other week, and I just now thought to post it up after chuckling about it for nearly two weeks. Our party consists of a Human Monk, Gnome Druid, Human Wizard, Elf Ranger, and Warforged Artificer (meleeficer, my character). Long story short, the party is lvl 2, and we're clearing out an underground temple full of kobolds and undead. We're down in the bottom levels, the druid is down to 1 spell, the wizard is down to just Summon Monster I, and I'm out of infusions when we run into a Karnnathi Zombie with a very high AC (as in, we all required an 18 or higher to hit him), and he's carrying double scimitars. Basically, the boss fight of the dungeon. After we realize how deep of doo-doo we are in, I switch to tactics mode (since I can't dish the damage). Disarming the thing proves fruitless, as it just picks the swords back up with it's uber-AC protecting it from AoO. They're masterwork scimitars, so I don't want to sunder them. So the Wizard summons a celestial badger and we have the druid use her last spell to summon a wolf. With the Trip ability. The wolf successfully trips it, it goes down. The Monk is using Flurry of Blows on it, my WF is beating it with his bastard sword, the badger is using it's claw/claw/bite routine, and the wolf keeps tripping it every time it tries to get up (and provoking a round of AoO from all of us in the process). It was like a bad cartoon. The thing was on the floor, and we're all just kicking and punching and hacking at it on the ground. I was expecting a cartoon cloud with fists coming out of it at any moment. Nobody deserves to die like that, not even a Karnnathi Zombie... lynched in it's own crypt... :nonono: :D
