I'm always interested in putting faces to screen names, and I enjoy talking about Eberron (or Gloom, or the migratory patterns of squirrels). As a result, I'm planning to camp out in some hotel restaurant/lobby/open game space from 6-8ish PM on Saturday at GenCon. I need to scout out the space before I know where it will be, so if you're interested, catch me at one of my other events; my schedule is posted at Bossy the Cow (http://www.bossythecow.com). I hope to meet some of you there!

Hmm, wait, with Stormreach officially announced, and for that matter finished, I guess we don't have a secret project.

Sweet! I didn't know if had been officially announced yet! That's awesome! Now I can talk about it without including hypothetical book end remarks! :)

08-14-07, 03:13 AM I wish I could make it. I have never been to GenCon, and haven't been to Origins since it was in Baltimore (but I was a regular during the 80s east coast years).

I do have a couple of my players who are going and have pointed them in your direction, though.

08-14-07, 03:35 AM I'm plannin' to be at pretty much all the various Eberron things you've got scheduled. Let's just say I was pretty stoked to see 'Villains of Eberron' and 'Planes of Eberron' among the topics being discussed. :)

08-14-07, 07:39 AM Keith, will these sessions be recorded at all? I'd love to be able to download an audio or video file or transcript of this after GenCon, specifically Planes of Eberron? I can't help but feel material for this topic is far too scarce.

I don't believe there's going to be any sort of recording. However, I do hope to do something with the planes in SOME official format in the near future, whether it's a sourcebook or series of web articles. I'd been discussing it with Paizo back in the day, but then I took the full time job and didn't have enough time. In any case, I feel it's a hole that should be filled. A sourcebook would be great, but if that's not going to happen I'd at least like to do something.

That would make for a total of 13 Dragonshards, which might be a lot, but could be worth it. Alternatively, you could condense them a bit and do 2-3 planes per article.

Of course, this wouldn't be as in-depth as a sourcebook, but it's more than what we have now and would give DMs something to reference. It's just a shame considering how much influence the planes have on Eberron, and yet we know so little about them.

PS - I'm also still holding out for a book on Khyber (Underdark).

Yes, as a last resort that would be what I'd want to do (and lest people who aren't interested in the planes worry, if I went this way it we be an ongoing thing that would be interspersed with other topics). The main issue is that Dragonshards just aren't that long. It would be better than nothing, but there wouldn't be room for much detail - and there is a lot to cover.

I for one am interested in the Planes in Eberron (I played a gatecrasher is Forgotten Realms. I love planes hopping)
