| Zachary The First06-08-05, 05:57 AM | Hey there. Well, I'm getting ready to run a mini-Eberron camapign as a sidetrack to my current homebrew, and I couldn't be more excited. I'm doing it as a city crawl around Sharn, which has to be one of the best gaming creations in a long time. The problem is, my players are rather lukewarm on Eberron--I'm the only one that's ever played it, and they've heard a lot of false crap from the "Eberron sucks/d20 sucks/Wizards sucks" crowd. I've suggested they just try it and see, but they're mainly the sort who don't want to get involved with another camapign unless they know what they're in for. My public speaking skills are....substandard, to say the least. These fellows love swashbuckling, intrigue, and unique combat, which is why I think they'll love Eberron, but I can't seem to describe it well enough for them. Anyone want to help me out by lending me your skills of expression or writing up a little testimonial I could use? Thanks! |

Look it can get hard convincing unbelievers of the epic scale & scope invisioned within eberron but may I suggest that in your current game maybe introduce a warforged character or a changeling and during a crucial role give them the option of action points. The character will give them a feel for what to expect the action point not only gives them a snippet of game style but helps the characters out and puts them on your side. Alternatively if it's a crucial role on the action point and they do pass due to the implementation of it, take it away saying, "Well if we were playing on Eberron you would have passed but because we aint.....take a vorpal blade to the guts!!! :evillaugh hehehehahahahaHAHAHAHAHA |
