06-05-04, 03:27 PM Any chance that gliders are in Eberrron? If not I think it might work. Even the Ewoks had gliders. You could have a wizard that specializes in air control on board an airship enhancing his "pilots" skills. You could even have dog fights. The Pilot could use crossbows or wands. I think this would be interesting. The gliders could even be used as a life saving device if the airship where to go down. Any thoughts?

06-05-04, 03:55 PM I think gliders would work in the context you put them. It doesnt take much intelligence to work out how to make something glide for a while so I can imagine wizards coming up with something.
You could always use a khybershard to bind an air elemental to the glider incase something doesnt go quite to plan.

06-05-04, 03:55 PM I did not see Gliders per se in Eberron. However some of the Halflings fly Pteradactyls (sp?), in that one region of Kohrvaire.

Also there's an image showing a mage travelling to floating cities on the back of a Griffon.

So while flying mounts aren't common, they are used and indeed appear to be necessary to reach certain key areas of Eberron.

06-05-04, 04:28 PM I'd LOVE to watch two airships from opposed kingdoms fly up to a couple hundred feet of each other, then watch a bunch of knights with Khyber "gliders" jump over the decks and dog fight it out 1000 feet over the earth... *ahem*... Eberron.
