| jamez03-02-06, 08:45 PM | I was just wondering if anyone has run an all (or mostly)Goblinoid PC party? Either with the Characters from the Hellcow or otherwise. I am just looking to see what you all tried, what you thought worked, what didn't. Right now, my players are all gone, all I have to do now is think about things I could do and this has always been in the back of my mind as something that would be fun. Anyway, drop me a post, I am curious. |

They could be from Droaam; rogue mercenaries who hire themselves out to the various monstrous factions found there. They could be living in X'endrik; hiring themselves out as guides to explorers seeking the treasures of the giant continent. Or, they could be pirates from the Lhaazar Principalities; preying on the ships of the air and sea. Honestly, the potential for a goblinoid campaign is unbelievable. If you decide to do one, let us know how it goes. |
| BrotherDog03-03-06, 01:02 AM | I very much want to play one, but cannot find a group in my area. :( Wyoming is kinda sparse population-wise. I also have interesting ideas for characters of other monstrous races, that I'd like to play. I even have quirky background stories for any of them as well. Two ideas I'd love to play as characters--> 1. Goblin - Wizard and/or Ninja multi-class. 2. Gnoll - ??? I'd first want ot play through his monster levels (a.k.a. puberty) to see how things will develop. I would then choose his class based on his experiences. Before a former friend and fellow gamer "stabbed me in the back", as the saying goes, I had a Hobgoblin student of Morgrave with arcane interests, but never got far enough to do much. I was going to multi-class him as a Wz/SwB, but he like many other characters got stuck in "the game can't get together anymore Limbo" that so often happens. |
| igotsmeakabob!!03-03-06, 01:45 AM | Wish at least one of the players in my group would consider a goblinoid.. maybe if I dropped the LA of Hobgoblin from 1 to 0.. eh. |
| jamez03-03-06, 07:59 AM | Yeah, I was thinking that as well. In fact, was thinking to just get rid of the +1LA for the Blue, Bugbear(but keep HD) and the Hobgoblin. I usually run harder that average encounters so the adjustments don't really feel like they need to be there. And that way I think players might actually choose a goblinoid other that Goblin. |

| Fabian03-03-06, 08:32 AM | Hey all, While I don't run a goblinoid campaign, I love all things goblin in Eberron. My PBEM is currently heading towards the Khraal Rainforest; see signature webpage. I play a hobgoblin 'war-priest' in the Shadow of a Flame PBEM (http://www.chsbs.cmich.edu/resume_study/eberron/shadow_of_flame.html). I also have a link to lots of goblinoid resources (adventure primers and other goodies) at the botom of my signature page. The campaign is called Dhakaan Rising. Enjoy! L8r, |
