| Griff_Goodbeard09-01-04, 10:51 AM | Sorry if this has been adressed before, but I was wondering where everyone will put goliaths in there world (if you use them). Putting them in Mror Holds doesn't seet right. I thoght maybe have there main settlement in Frostfell, making them rare in Khorvaire. Any thoughts? |
| Dex The King09-01-04, 11:25 AM | From what I've read in my friend's copy of Races of Stone, Goliaths live in mountains, somewhat near the homes of the dwarves. In that case, the Mror Holds should be absolutely perfect. Not only can they come from their ancestral home in Frostfell, but they can still live amongst the mountains with the dwarves. |
| 7sigma09-01-04, 11:27 AM | Good idea. The Frostfell is isolated and unexplored, so it could fit. I'd give some thought on how do they survive in such a cold environment, but if humans can do so, I suppose a race with +2 to Con also can :D Another place that could support Goliaths is Xen'drik. |
| Frozen Yakman09-01-04, 12:19 PM | I haven't got RoS yet, so my knowlege of Goliath's is limited. How about placing them in the mountains to the east of the Talentia (sp?) Plains? |
| Alisair Longreach II09-01-04, 02:05 PM | In my campaign I have placed the Goliaths in the Hoarfrost Mountains north of the Mror Holds. |
| lugnut7109-01-04, 08:05 PM | I also like frostfell keeps them close to Frost Giants the area has moutains and explains where the heck they have been. |
| KillerOdin09-02-04, 02:56 PM | I would say Xen'Drik its mysterious and thats were the giants live. Thats why I picked it but if you can justify it I'd say they could live just about anywhere. |
| Cunning Gnome09-09-04, 12:25 PM | I think they would fit in frost fell well. im thinking Xen Drik would would be a bit warm, they strike me as a cold mountain type people, either way works though. Heres a pic i did http://img85.exs.cx/img85/1096/Photo_2004_9_9_15_40_20_edited.jpg |
