My only TINY quibble is that I'd have liked to see more coverage of how to DM an Eberron campaign, and how to best capture the flavor. So, I'd give this book a darn solid 95%, or 4.5 stars. Go get it, all. |
| FumaNoOni06-11-04, 02:28 PM | Where are you from defeata? Finland? Germany? |
| defeata06-11-04, 02:52 PM | ...maybe somebody violated the release date? I live in Columbus, OH. If the book has not legally been released yet, that store could be in deep trouble. |
| ChronosCrow06-11-04, 03:31 PM | I dunno man. I believe this has to deal with what distributor's do. Alliance supports most of the countries RPG game distribution and they're for a lack of my own tact 'tools!!!!!' I've never meet one store owner that has been happy with their Alliance customer service rep. Bookstores, Walmart and the like though get their things from another different distrubotor that comic stores ect. just can't use. Thus, I got my book yeserday too and I live in TN. |
| N'wah06-11-04, 04:04 PM | Yeah, my local lil' game store's expecting them Wednesday, even though Barnes & Noble is ready to ship, as is walmart.com. Sigh... |
| Harmony's Sorrow06-11-04, 04:17 PM | I'm slipping... One of my local game sellers (who I REALLY don't like) is saying the 18, like everyone else... except media play says the 16th wed, and my FLGS says the 24th or so... close to the end of the month. I'm losing my patience, I don't want to buy game stuff from a NON-game store, or give business to a store run by jerks... I may have to order from Wal-Mart.Com afterall... grr.... |

Would you mind telling me where you got yours? I'm pretty close to TN and it might be worth the ride. You'll not find Eberron in Huntsville I'll tell you that. I know.... I combed the entire city looking for it. :( |
| Remnant06-11-04, 04:56 PM | Hmm... I guess now we know how a fly bouncing of a window pane must feel. I've been keeping what little free time I have occupied with an old video game (Total Annihilation: Kingdoms, w/Iron Plauge expansion) which has a few Eberronic qualities. Also, since I recently purchased the expanded psionics handbook, I've got some D&D reading to keep up with. Its the 11th today, so in a week, the 18th places should have it out, and in two weeks, everyone who wants a copy should have one. Since my work schedule is posted 3 weeks ahead of time, I can look ahead on that and think "by this time, I'll have the book". Seems much shorter that way. Quick question to save some time later: Could one of the book owners tell us what color the binding is? It makes it easier to spot on the shelf. |
| Anax06-11-04, 06:34 PM | I just picked up a copy from a local Waldenbooks. My FLGS has not received it yet. (I feel a bit guilty going to a chain store, but I spend enough at my FLGS that I don't feel *too* guilty.) |
