Now, this is high level...quite high. PCs are 18'th. After foiling the plans of a daelkyr, and actually killing her with the aid of an artifact, one of the most powerful minions, who had been 'manning the fort' since the war over 9000 years ago, lost faith in his makers. he plans to now use the resources at his disposal to conquer the world himself, and perhaps even has ambitions of ruling Xoriat...Illtihid, by the way. I have a few steps in the plan... 1: A Tsochar agent, using a gnome as a host, gets the gnomes of Zilargo to send an archeological expedition that will inadvertantly unearth Father Lymac (Elder Evils). This is an 'if it succeeds, excellent...if not, it's kept eyes away from my forces gathering' plan. 2: when the world goes dark, evil forces will conspire to release the Rajah sealed in the Silver Flame, citing a draconic prophecy line of 'when the flame is shrouded in darkness'. Not wishing to have the competition, Cthulhu sends one of his agents, an Ethergaunt Ur-Priest, to guide the PCs to stop it...failing to do so in time, it offers advice on how to weaken the freed demon so that it may be slain, all the while scrutinizing the group for weaknesses. 3: With no obstacles in his way save the PCs, Cthulhu's forces begin to gather quiessence (and utilizing some cooler things from the Thoon section of the MM5) for a ritual that will raise R'lyeh from the bowels of Khyber to the surface as the staging point for the final invasion. 4: Though the PCs thwarted some of his plans, he gained enough power, and R'lyeh now rises from the sea in the middle of the ocean...and from there, armies of Grimlocks, Voidmind creatures, twisted half Illithid monstrosities (Braineater dragons, Half-Illithid Beholders...) begin to systematically attack..it is up to the PCs to confront Cthulhu on his home turf to save the world once and for all! I have a GENERAL idea here, as seen...but this needs to cover about 6 levels of PC-age...I need some ideas to flesh it out, etc...
