While I sit here typing in chain mail, bacers, and shiny cardboard skull cap, I would like to wish you all a happy haunted night of festivities. I would also like to nominate a time to speak of Eberron Halloween style. Please share your input if this holiday has impacted your game sessions. And since I like to share information myself here's an example.

We (a party of seven) went to the Blood Ax mines just outside Breland, and in Zilargo to clear a mine of demons. After encountering, and perturbing our ettercap nemisis yet again we lifted the barrier, and went down the dripping tunnel blackend by supernatural darkness. When we finally reach the end of the darkness we find ourselves drenched in blood, and a group of skulking dretches ran passed us since we obviosly opened the tunnel. Not very encouraging when demons would rather run than kill. A ghost inspired by The Grude kills the party's scythe fighter after a nasty fall down river from the group. The swashbuckler was insta gibbed (20, 20, 18) by an assassin vine, and when running for our lives from three of those ghosts the sorcerer was man handled in the darkness tunnel by the trio of undead. All I got from trying to save him was an arm. When we get back we theorize the near by hamlet will have gone resident evil on us. So Happy Halloween tell us your story. Or not, what ever.

I attempted to inject a Halloween theme into my Eldeen Reaches campaign yesterday. The party was delivering a message for the Wardens of the Wood to one of their member who was studying an old Gatekeeper observatory a couple days west of Green Heart. When they got there, they found his assisant, who told them the guy they're looking for isn't there. "Well, where is he?" "In the old orc graveyard, down the hill." "Oh, how did he die?" "He didn't, at least, not all the way."

Long story short, the guy was messing around with material from the Gloaming in a inter-planarly active area and accidently turned himself into a huecuva. He's hanging out in the crypts under the graveyard, to which there are 13 entrances. Each entrance only opens when one of the moons is full. Unfortunately, the party didn't figure this out until the end of the session (and I had planned on the entire session being exploring the crypts), so they'll have to face the recently undeaded druid next time.
