Remember: You can't spell "love" without "V-O-L" (and "E" for "Erandis.")

The tradition of Volentine day goes back centuries, when people gave blood to their departed loved ones on this day. This is why most Volentine decorations are red. And the heart, of course, is tied into blood (besides, the classic red heart really represents a drop of blood).

Roses are important symbols too, as it is traditional to use a rosethorn to prick your finger to give the drops of blood.

Sorry, but Volentine's Day is reserved for the observance of the the wiping out of Taratai's line. :(
