I'm looking forward to the Boneclaw that was part of an earlier preview. The PCs in our campaign have already faced two of them, and with the Order of the Emerald Claw/Blood of Vol set up as recurring antagonists, I imagine they'll be fighting more of the nasty undead again! They are truly wicked tactical fighters, and the mini does a nice job of capturing the threat of their "do anything fishy and I'll stick ya" claws.

I was lucky enough to get a Warforged Hero in one of my first boxes of Aberrations. Now THAT is a sensational mini!

I don't have any warforged yet. I wanted to get some, and the Warforged Titan... With the Warforge fighter in front of me, ask the DM, "Can I play a warforged character?" Get a yes and put the Titan down. "Okay, this is my character."

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mi/20050120bUgh, such a beautiful looking piece in the pictures. Too bad its plastic, poorly painted, and that staff is going to be bent into a question mark...

I would so love to have that as a metal miniature I could actually use.

The first box of Giants of Legend I got was picked out by my fiancee, and she got one with a Warforged Titan. I also got a warforged with my preorder of Eberron. Since then, I haven't gotten a singe random warforged mini- though I did buy a few online.

As for the quality of the minis, Edymnion, they've gotten quite impressive since the days of Harbinger. In fact, I refused to buy them before Giants of Legend promised me Eberron minis in my future. Ever since then, even the commons look good, uncommons look like rares, and rares- well, I'm terrible at painting my own, so its fantastically better than anything I've done. Though I could see the appeal of individual-sale metal or plastic minis- despite improvements in minature stability and painting, I've had a very rare few come without a cursed backbiter weapon. :)

I'll probably pick one up when they have been out long enough for me to pick one up second hand.

I absolutely refuse to buy so much as one box of the things at random though.
If the scuplt is good enough, I might try repainting it (although I've had limited success with priming those things without losing detail).

I currently possess one Warforged Fighter, two Warforged Heroes, and I'm eyeing the Titan in my FLGS's counter window. Geez, if I can get a Warforged Wizard too - I'ma just gonna plunk that down in front of the party and demand that the fleshies surrender. :D

A plastic miniature gets bent. Then you put it in boiling water for 15 seconds, fish it out, and you can make it straight again. This doesn't damage the mini in any way, and the mini is as good as if it was never bent to begin with.

A metal miniature gets broken. Then you can, uh, glue it back and it will show it was broken, so you'll have to paint it back to mask the repair.

About the poorly painted comment, this was true of Harbinger and Dragoneye, but now they're well done. The Chinese workers who paint them have had a lot of training now.

The Chinese workers who paint them have had a lot of training now.I'll reserve making my opinion on that until I've gotten my hands on this WF wizard. I've got a couple of the WF fighter minis, and they're sub-par. Not exactly BAD, but not good either.

not to criticize your opinion on this, but i think it'd be better to look at the rare d&d minis for comparison. since the benefit of uncommons is that you can get them so cheaply.

personally, i have really shaky hands a don't think i'd want to attempt painting a metal mini. that and the fact that commons/uncommons are so cheap are the big selling points for me . . though that's more nice if you're a DM. so you can have 10 of the same monster or somerthing.

Pretty nice in my opinion :)

I wonder how many Eberron miniatures we'll see in future sets

We can only hope for as many minis as possible :)
