01-15-07, 10:59 AM Well my players want a break from our long standing heroic campaign and something a little more adult. They still want to play in Khovaire but would prefer a license to misbehave while dealing with problems not easily solvable by sticking one's blade into it.

I was watching the season premier of Rome and it occurred to me that this show might be just what the doctor recommends. A work set in the Realms where sex, violence, and cruelty are a way of life.

The real question is where to set it honestly. Also, what sort of plots to do in such a case since they're very far removed from the usual D&D ideal.

Isn't what you are stating part of the essense of what is Eberron? The intrigue? the pulp? the etc?

01-15-07, 11:52 AM Droaam sounds good, though I'm not sure about the attractiveness of the "sex" aspect there. Lhazaar* Principalities seem like another good option. But this is dnd, so it really can be anywhere you want.

01-15-07, 12:12 PM Darguun is always a good choice, but there's alot of the "sticking your blade in it" problem solving there too. You need a city that has a highly volatile political situation, mobs running the streets willy-nilly and some really seedy underbelly to shelter the PCs. I'm thinkin' Sharn, but that's just my take on the city of towers.

01-15-07, 03:32 PM yes, if I can get everyone to be Hobgoblins (Pullo wouldn't need to be changed) then yes, Darguun does seem to be pretty much the perfect fit for the place unless you REALLY want to change the essence of certain characters in the setting.
