| Meric12-29-04, 05:12 AM | Hi all, I am new to the Eberron community but not to D&D and RPG's. Just a brief bit of background, I am 32 and hail from Nottingham in the UK. I picked up the Eberron book a couple of weeks ago and loved it, so here I am :). Now for those questions. For some strange reason I have decided in 2005 to find out if I might have some talent as a writer. One of the areas I would like to get into, if I have any talent ;), is writing RPG adventures. Given that it is such a nice setting with lots of potential I would like to write some adventures for Eberron. Now before I bother Wizards with my scribblings or post some adventures up on the net. I was wondering if there are any must read info sources apart from the Wizards site itself that people know about. I am after information here on writing for the Eberron setting, or web sites that might be prepared to publish adventures written by fans. Sorry to ask here if it is posted elsewhere but I am new to the Eberron community and it's already seems quite large. I thought the best way to find the answer was to ask you all :). Next question is are there any Eberron groups in the Nottingham, UK area with spaces for a player or GM? At the moment I don't have a group and it will be easier to enjoy the setting if I have some interested people to play it with :). Meric |

After completely absorbing everything is there, I would go through and read the entire ASK KEITH BAKER thread, both archive and current. Then, you'd probably want to read up on all the Dragonshard Articles here. http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/archeb/ds That should make you a great writer on the subject. Oh, heh, and then there's always Keith himself. I'm sure he'd be able to balance "need to know" versus a developing writer. Alas, I am in the US, so I cannot help you in the gaming department. If I missed any important links, I'm sure others will add to the list. |

Check this one out too: Coveworld (http://www.coveworld.net/eberron/index2.html) The Korranberg Chronicle is THE place for fan fiction/ fan created adventures. If you write something up, drop someone a line, and let us know, we're always looking for new material. The link is in my sig. Good luck and have fun! |
| Halland01-13-05, 02:27 PM | Hi Meric, I am shortly going to relocate to the Nottingham Area within the next few weeks. and I am looking for a 3.5 D&D gaming group to join. I have been playing since I was 13 and now I am 34. I have been playing Forgotten realms campaign setting for the last several years but I would be more than happy to be a player in the Eberron Campaign Setting. As of yet I have not read any Eberron books, apart from a few article's in the Dragons magazine. So I would not make a very good DM but I could give it a go. So if you are still looking for extra players, please email on simons@axl.co.uk Cheers Halland |
