Hey. I was hoping i could get some help with a campaign I'm running. I did the introductory adventure the other day and my players enjoyed it (read the plot over in Sharn Adventure Help thread).

They are now in the employ of House Orien and are being sent into the Mournlands to recover a lightning rail car full of priceless relics (yes i know i took this from the Adventure Seeds thread). My idea was that one of the relics was a fragment of a Draconic Prophesy and the campaign would revolve around collecting more of these/keeping them out of the wrong hands. My goal is a Cinematic-feeling Action-Adventure campaign.

I was hoping someone here could help me develop more plot points, and the story in general. If you need more input from me just ask. So if you have any ideas about where i can send my intrepid adventurers, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

if it involves draconic prophsy stuff then involve the chamber, ie the cabal of dragons who watch 'lesser races' closely to discover anything about the prophesy, perhaps they are the villain trying to hinder the players retrieval of these items, or a mysterious benefactor like charlie off charlies angels:)

the emerald claw are always good for a villain when needed, perhaps they to are after the draconic icons, Vol might have some use for them, or something. This could lead into a quest to the llazar provinces, battling pirates and such, and who doesnt love punching up pirates. or the items point to xen'drik, and the ancient monolithic structures within the jungles of terror. on the way you get caught up in sauhaigen affairs and are forced to battle in their underwater bubble cities gladiator pit, while trying to find a friend to help you escape.

captured by warforged, while en route to your precious cargo, a lord of blades worshipping cadre of rogue warforged ambush you with their steath suits (like in the addon adventure thingy, damn faulty memory cant remember its name, they are in the little story book.)
players need a daring escape and all that, must fight their way through the warforged ranks, find the lost items and decipher their meaning.

house thuranni, with its secretive ways has set an ambush for you after all your hard work, they in conjunction with the emerald claw and concordantly the blood of vol have done a deal to discover the meaning of the draconic prophesy, and whether it can be harnassed for destructive purposes to crush the deathless of aerenal.

the aurum have already 'procured' the goods within the rail, leaving nothing but a squad of hit men to mop up any intruders, tell tale clues lead the players on a merry dance all the way to aundair, where the queen herself has discovered the draconic prophesy and is using it to her advantage politically, while supplying her allies within the aurum with all the gold they desire. the rail cargo is now en route to the royal palace via lyrandar airship. do the players dare take an airship down, risking life, limb and the wrath of the lyrandar, how do you defeat a queen within her own keep. will the aurum want you dead, or perhaps they could use the players and puppets, goading more riches from the queens coffers.

the items are cursed, the rail a trap, and the players duped. the lords of dust are behind this. sensing the powers of the players, these immortal evils have conived and strategized into formulating a plan to slay your PC's. will the players escape from this web of intrigue, or fall victom to unfathomable badness.

orien are behind the whole thing, hiring neutral adventurers they had hoped to rescue their stricken cargo without incident, but not all is what it seems, the cargo is not prophesy but valenar steeds for house vadalis. and whats that on the horizon! a squad of elven cavalry! the look very unhappy, how will the PC's get out of this one?

the draconic prophesy reveals to the players where an incredible reserve of magical energies lies, should they retrieve even part of this energy they could bring korvaire into a new golden age, however the pool of magic has long since been corrupted by fiendish daelkyrs minions, you mush seek the aid of the dragons old couatl allies, if you wish to restore the pool to its former glory. then do as you will with its untarnished power.

theres a few other things but i think thats enough at the moment.

this by the way is EberronJunkie posting, this is my brothers name, and i forgot to log out and log in:D

How about they try to enter an adventurer's guild and they have to beat all the other parties to get to the cargo in the mournland. This little race is sponsored by House Orien, House Lyrandar, House Cannith and all the of the other dragon marked houses for the advertising and attention it would bring them.
The Cargo is merely the first check point...

Or you can try going to Argonnesson the continent of the dragons.

argonessan would require some higher level parties, i mean, you have to fend off crazed barbarians, then make it into the interior without being eaten by dragons
