Hello fellow Eberron DMs. I'm about to start a campaign, and sicne I have not Dmed or even played in Eberron before, i will be using the first 4 ready made adventures. Now, I need help incorporating my chaarcters in to this. Here's my characters:

We use the PHB classes, except for the rogue, ranger, and monk, which we use the Ultimate classes from these boards.

A shifter druid from the Eldeen Reaches who has come to Sharn to bridge the gap between nature and city.
An elven ranger who wants to be a successful bounty hunter.
A warforged fighter.
A greedy changeling rogue following the path of the assassin. (basic standard rogue if you don't know the utltimate classes)
A halfling rogue following the path of the expert. (skillful rogue if you dont know the ultimate classes)

Now, for the rogues, fighter, and druid, its pretty basic, they're adventurers called on by the lady from House Cannith to recover the creation pattern, but i don't know how to work a bounty hunter into it that well.

Any help appreciated!

Hm.. maybe in the beginning, instead of engaging the murderous warforged, the bounty hunter could be hired to find him?

Just a thought.

That's a good idea. Where in Sharn owuld this warforged be?

Hiding out in the Cogs, maybe? On its way back to the Lord of Blades?

Hello fellow Eberron DMs. I'm about to start a campaign, and sicne I have not Dmed or even played in Eberron before, i will be using the first 4 ready made adventures. !

My first bit of advice is to either:

A.) Sit down with the players before the game and ask them how they could work their characters into knowing each other beforehand (perhaps they could create a shared backstory of a "adventure" that never happened.) or what motivations would let them all work together as a team

B.) Sit down with the players before they even roll up characters and tell them what sort of campaign you're running so they can plan according. If you want to do lots of dungeon crawling with few outdoor adventures, a druid shouldn't be a player's first choice.

As for fitting the bounty hunter in, here is a two-pronged approach. Tell him that there's an open bounty on Emerald Claw members, but right now there's been no business and times are tough. He's noticed the more succesful bounty hunters have offices, but that costs rent. With this job, he could get enough cash to put up his shingle and look credable enough to get customers (government contractors for bail jumpers and merchants who want to find those who skipped on their loans.) Later on the open bounty kicks in.

Thanks for the input guys.

We are gonna sit down and talk about how the party got together. When some of the players told me about character ideas, I've said, "That might not fit well into these adventures" and they've retorted with "The DM should base the campaign around the players." And they do have a point. It's just easier for me to get into Eberron with these adventures, you know?

Any other input appreicated.

They have a point, but you are also the DM. You have final say.

If they really want to play whatever they are offering, either do two things. 1) Say no if it's a suggestion that's too outragous (I want to play a Drow!), or 2) Help them alter the concept to fit into Eberron. In fact, send them here, and we can help them do that.

Well, they've all settled on the concepts I've posted above, my only trouble is the bounty hunter.

I still like, and will back up my idea stated above. Said warforged could be anywhere at any time.. and it doesn't neccesarily have to resolve during the Forgotten Forge. It may resolve during the second installment, or third.
