Hello. Anyway, you know what Maren does to Daine? The brain/soul thing? What was that? I havn't found anything in the Psionic Handbook, and there is no magic. Please help.

Regulations prohibit the discussion of the novels on these boards for some reason - try asking on these boards. (http://worldsofdnd.com/forum/index.php)

Look here...

http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=124488

from the D&D message boards FAQ.
scroll down to the section on "Novels" and that should describe what is and isn't allowed.

Keith, sorry to refute you, but according to the thing that Alac Luin put a link to, I am alloud to ask in-game questions relating to the novels. This isn't a discussion, I just want to know what the ability used was.

The point is that I can answer your question in more depth in a forum where *I* am allowed to discuss the novel. There are certain elements that do not directly translate. In this case, it's a variant form of mind seed..

I meant in no way to refute Mr. Baker.

The link he posted earlier is one of the best places to discuss novels though.
Many authors from all the lines that WotC (inc Ravenloft, FR, and just about every known Eberron author) post/lurk there.
So really that is a better place to discuss anything to do with novels.

If you asked that question there, you may have gotten a completely different (and better) answer then you received here.
