**** Spoiler Alert**** Gino, Daniel and David, please do not read any further....

Hi Everyone,

I started a campaign in Eberron with the Forgotten Forge and it went well. I'm planning to continue with Shadow of the last war, but I doN,t plan to continue with the story line afterward. SOTLW is a good quest, but i feel it needs some adjusting for my party and I wanted your advice. I made the following changes in order to keep ther same vilain ( Lord of Blades).

Intro : At the House Sivis Tower, the gnome will say : ''Too bad Victor Saint-Demain is not here. '' This is to start leaving clues for the Chimes of Midnight adevnture.

1) Cutalss attacks Elaydren : I added Brick, a warforged artificer who received ''The final messenger'' from Saber, the warforged who was killed at the end of the Forgotten Forge. He recognizes the Pc and order Cutlass to kill them, then he leaves and Cutlass attacks. Elaydren mentions to the Pc that the Schema is used to duplicate warforges, and that's why the Lord of Blades wants it !!

2) I won'ty play the skeleton encounter in the Sea Travel.

3) In Rose Quarry, the main Vilians or 2 warforges :Brick The artificer and Slash ( The main Vilian of the quest, fights with a double blade). Instead of Emerald Claw Slodiers, it's going to be 9 blademarks of House Deneith (mbr's of the league of the bitter blade who signed a deal with Slash for protection from the Pc). Slash will leave before the Pc with 4 ex-blademarks while the Pc are investigasting the town. Brick will be in the puzzle chamber with 2 blademarks and 2 will be patrolling. The ninth blademark will be a good character leaving the town( he will be found in the church) and will give the Pc info on the history of Cyre and why the league of the bitter blade lost their way when they signed with the Lord of Blades. He will also tell them to be carefull with the Blademarks since killing all of them could create tension with House Deneith.

4) Whitearth, Slash , 2 warforges and 4 of the blademarks will be waiting for the Pc at the end of the adventure.

So, what do you think guys ?

Sounds good to me... the next step of the adventure is whispers of the vampire blade and the LOB has some (but small) influence in the adventure but if you want to keep going with the schemas adventure jump right to grasp of the emerald claw just edit the emerald claw out of it and make the lord of blades faction more active

Thanks Darkneolink !

I actually intend to not continue with the schema adventures. I will probably run the Dungeon adventure '' Fallen Angel''. Afterwards, most probably ''Chimes of Midnight'' or Eyes of the Lich Queen''.

One option would be for the schema from the Forgotten Forge to be capable of activating the molten-glass war machine found in Whitehearth. The warforged manage to retrieve the schema (or let slip that they have found a way to work around the need for it) during the initial tavern encounter, and the PCs must then outpace them in following the clues to locate Whitehearth and permanently disabling the machine before such a devastating weapon can fall into the hands of the Lord of Blades.

Don't let them know its exact nature immediately - have them find out that the unspecified device was tested out on Rose Quarry only when they investigate that place, then really play up the scale of destruction there, and the fact that its occupants were still in place. Hopefully that will either motivate the PCs to do everything to keep the device out of the wrong hands, or else sufficiently impress them that they want to get their own hands on it.

Incidentally, have you considered that the sea voyage skeleton encounter could still work with a group of warforged slipping aboard en route? They don't need to breathe underwater, after all.
