| thought_riot03-05-06, 07:26 PM | Next week I'm gonna be DMing an Eberron campaign, again, after my last one failed miserably for many reasons. At any rate, we're starting at 6th level with the following party; Shifter Barbarian 5/Weretouched Master 1 Elf Ninja 6 Elf Scout 6 Kalashtar Psion (telepath) 5/Quori Nightmare 1 (possibly, might change to somethig I don't know yet) I might just go with something with the Wayfinder Foundation, but any ideas are welcome. Thanks. |
| Rechan03-05-06, 07:43 PM | Any clue what their background/histories are? If any of the elves have House affiliations, for instance. They're starting out at 6th level, so they must be influential by now. If you would like something all ready published, Dungeon has put out two variable adventures - #129 and #133 respectively, both set in Sharn, made for level 5. Mystery adventures which might be useful and interesting. Alternatively, the Red Hand of Doom is made for level 5 (or is it 6?) and can be ported to Eberron with a little tooling (there's been a thread or two about that here). |

Is the shifter from The Eldeen reaches or anywhere? Is the Klashtar a Khorvaire native or has he come across from Reidra? Is he really militant against the quori (as his prestige class suggests)? Are any of the characters particularly pious or otherwise related to any groups? Where are you? nation depends as much as race or class. |
| igotsmeakabob!!03-05-06, 08:32 PM | Well for starters I would recommend starting at 1st level and maybe reducing the XP gain a lil, to keep it going. Eberron is a low level campaign. While you CAN have a good campaign at high level, you're missing out on alot from 1-5. |

While you CAN have a good campaign at high level, you're missing out on alot from 1-5. Our last campaign went up to level 6, before a TPK (in Whispers of the Vampire's Blade, they couldn't beat the minotaur zombie), so we have had some great times at low-level, figured we're gonna start medium level now. Ok, little more info to help. They're all part of the Wayfinder Foundation. Now, the problem is I can't think of anything to make an overall campaign arch with it. I can think of one adventure, or another, but I'm having tons of trouble having a continous plot using the Foundation. Currently, I don't have any written character histories. I should have them by mid-week. The Shifter is from the Reaches, I know that. Neither Elf is dragonmarked. And I'm pretty sure the kalashtar is going to change to something else. That's all I know currently, I'll keep updated. |

I think this would be a really interesting campaign - first the PCs have to go there and scout it out, accompanied by an NPC administrator or two, and then get the place cleaned up (kick out any monsters), help the town get under way with the Refugees, then solve the mystery as to why people keep disappearing. Sandstorm is a great suppliment for the Wastes. |
