Lux72 10-17-04, 10:40 AM	I have a character in my game who's a reporter for a large newspaper in Eberron (she works in Sharn). She's basically built as a bard with storytelling as her main bardic ability. I'm wanting to do an adventure where her character is spotlighted in some way but I haven't been able to think of anything. It hasn't helped that I haven't recieved a history from her yet either. Anyway, does anyone have a adventure idea that can take place in a large city where a reporter/bard could have an adventure around her (but still include the other party members, of course).
MarkB 10-17-04, 11:11 AM	Perhaps she could be trying for a post as roving reporter for the Korranberg Chronicle, Khorvaire's best-known newspaper. They could assign her, on a probationary basis, to cover some major event - anything from an aristocratic ball to the launch of House Lyrandar's latest airship, depending upon what sort of stories she likes to cover. She goes along with her friends in tow, starts geting interviews, then something goes wrong - kidnappers crash the party, or someone tries to hijack the airship, etc. - and it's up to her and her friends to save the day. After the immediate situation is resolved, whether to good or bad result, she has to write up a report of the event in-character, which will decide whether she gets that lucrative and prestigious retainer from the Chronicle.
Gurv 10-17-04, 11:23 AM	Think Superman. How many times were the main characters sent out to cover breaking news only to become involved in it? Just subtract Superman himself, and insert your characters. Wouldn't it have been great if Ms. Lane had been able to act like a hero and actually succeed without having an invincible man show up and confuse things?
