I'm going to be soloing a campaign featuring a LE rakshasa PC. One of the most terrible fiends (possibly the most terrible) to have lived during the Age of Demons, the PC is 'accidentally' freed from the volcanic citadel in Q'barra without the knowledge of it's draconic guardian. Understanding that he'll have to lay low for a long time (as he earns his class levels back and awakens the powers in his legacy gear) lest he attract unwanted draconic attention and a swift death, I ask you: what kinds of goals and objectives (especially early ones) could such a PC undertake?

I'm not real familiar with legacy gear, but you might have the reawakening of said gear have a quest requirement. Such as, Our Rajah protagonist must take Lul'rr'gogth, his totally awesome spiked chain of doom, to a volcano in The Demon wastes and bathe it in lava for 2 weeks, but only after he has coated it in the blood of an exotic preist (Kalshatar?). Problem is, in his current state, and due to the secretive nature, none of the Rakshasas in DW believe he is who he says he it. (This could prevent him from gaining a ton of uber powerful followers at a low level.) Only then does the Chain regain it's former powers. This quest alone could take him well into mid levels, with all the travelling, and distractions that come along with a major quest. Also, regaining his prestige among his demon fellows could be an ultimate goal. I mean, what's a great leader with out followers. Also, he could have an ultimate goal of killing, or even swaying the Dragon that guarded him for so long.

Might not have been what you were looking for, but I hope it helps.

Also unsure of the legacy gear rules, but how about having him (once the other rashakas recognise him) do some intriguing/politicising with the other council members? That way he would be faced with opponents just as powerful and as cunning/same abilities, and he would have to use his(her?) head to outwit them.

After all, a powerful bad guy's biggest opponents are other powerful bads guys (or a party of adventurers)

or if they're more action bent, have a coup take place in the council, also matching them against foes that are similar in power.

I dont know if that helps, mostly coz i dont know what style of play they want
