My group finished off a greyhawk campaign last year. They started off at 4th level and ended their characters careers at around 20th. We've been trying to start off an eberron campaign but it just hasn't felt right yet. We're going to give it another try but this time we're going to start off at 20th level. I have the resources for it Eberron campaign book and the sharn guidebook but what I'm looking for is a comprehensive listing of npc's and their level, in sharn and surrounding areas. I was wondering if anyone has written that up.

Head over to Keith Baker's (goes by Hellcow on these boards) own site, Bossy the Cow (http://www.bossythecow.com/), and check out his Sharn Index over at the Features section! Comprehensive everything! :smirk:

You'll need to Sharn sourcebook to use it though.

Well...I suppose you can do it if you want to, but I think you went the wrong direction. You should have played Eberron at low levels, and then started in Greyhawk at 20th.

If you start at 20th level in Sharn, you will be the highest level characters in the entire city. And country. The world. With the exception of a few of the monsters with levels, you would be the most powerful, game-mechanic-wise.

Eberron makes a point about not having high level type people all over the place. It does also make a point about how, when those people do exist, they're generally the PCs. But based on the demographics (http://www.coveworld.net/eberron/demographics_metro.html), the highest level PC-classed person in the city would be 14th level.

That doesn't mean that there is no place for high level play on Eberron. But it would be a "superman game", where the only way to challenge the good guy is with moral dilemmas, special weaknesses, etc. Of course, you could also just tweak what official sources say and increase the level of everything. But that takes work, and would be entirely up to you.

And Rajahs, and Daelkyrs.

Thats part of the plan. Tweak it to make it fun. They're going to be a force of good so I don't see any problems with them trying to take over the world or such. It will allow me to take advantage of my books (epic handbooks been collecting dust) and these guys will have to rely on themselves when it comes to making items (finally someone will pick craft arms and armor). I still have problems with eberron and its magical environment and lack of high level mages and such. So I'll tweak it to conform to my needs.
