Hey, it being turkey day and all - what about Holidays in Eberron. I can't recall of the top of my head if the ECS mentions any, but do you guys have any or can you think of reasonable ones that should be incorporated?

A universal "holiday" idea that can be added in to any world is the Summer & Winter Solstice's along with the Autumn & Spring Equinox's. These I suppose would be most important to druids.

Also, in the first few chapters of Races of Eberron it talks a little about race specific holidays, such as Brightfest for the shifter. Maybe you can get some more ideas there!

Summer and Winter Solstice might be two to start with.

There would of course be a day celebrating the founding of the Kingdom of Galifar.

I could see there being a somber "holiday" for the day the Mournland came into being... perhaps the Day of Mourning. (I may have seen that somewhere... )

Another for the day the Treaty of Thronehold was signed.

I could see any number of holidays surounding the various Coterminous periods of the Moons/Planes of Eberron.

EDIT: Ya beat me to it Thoughtshifter

Check out the Sharn book for a few holidays.

Note that there is a mid-winter holiday, set around the last three days of the end of the year, at the time Mabar becomes coterminous every five years.

Oh YEAH! There was also that "holiday" to remember the falling of the Crystal Tower.

There's a bunch of holidays in Races of Eberron IIRC.
