| myusernameis09-04-06, 02:39 AM | Does anyone have a list of the holidays in Eberron, I need it because I recently started tracking date (figured it would be a handy thing to have that would add versimilitude to the game) and know holidays are going to come up. So yeah, if you have a list could you please post it for me? |
| jamvid09-04-06, 08:47 AM | We could assume that that the Thranish celebrate the anniversary of when that whole Serpent/Paladin/Rajah battle thing :) . I'm sure that there's some sort of day of silence on the day of mourning (especially with displaced cyrians.). Then the various non-five nation countries would celebrate their independence. Also the Aerenal, would celebrate the destructions of the giants, and their freedom. Maybe the people of Khorvaire celebrate a day when all 12 moons are full. hope this is helpful. |
| ornitholestes09-04-06, 11:23 AM | In the Sharn: City of Towers sourcebook there is a list (starting on page 30) of important holy days, secular festivals, and sporting events. While some of them relat to Sharn specifically, many of them would be celebrated throughout Khorvaire. |

| Syltorian09-07-06, 06:29 AM | We could assume that that the Thranish celebrate the anniversary of when that whole Serpent/Paladin/Rajah battle thing :) Correct. :) They call that "Ascension" (of Tira Miron). This and the Day of Mourning celebrations are both referred to in Sharn: City of Towers, amongst other things. Hopefully, they come up with more examples, though. Perhaps Faiths of Eberron has some more holy-days. Sharn also mentions (on page 93) the Blood of Vol's holy day of Tanarath as occuring "when the moon Aryth is eclipsed by Sypheros". Can anyone make a date out of that? Oh, and if you are getting Races of Eberron, they also have Kalashtar holidays, although they do not give any dates there if my memory serves me correctly. These are mostly related to the different Kalashtar lineages. I also wonder whether the Dragonmarked Houses would not have special holidays related to when their first marks appeared (according to legend, in the month linked to their mark), with special celebrations in all the guild holdings. |
| mrockwell09-07-06, 04:04 PM | Faiths of Eberron has several holidays listed for Thrane. |
| Syltorian09-08-06, 06:23 AM | Is Faiths of Eberron out already? Dang, and there my FLGS is on holidays until the 20th... Does it give holidays only for Thrane, or do the other religions also get their special days detailed (as some of the Sovereign Host get in S:CoT)? |
| mrockwell09-08-06, 12:28 PM | I think it is out, though I got my copy early. They do have some holidays listed for the Host, and also one for the Blood of Vol. Skimming quickly, I don't see specific dates called out for holidays for any of the other faiths the book touches on. |
| Syltorian09-08-06, 01:27 PM | Thanks! Still nice to get some for the Silver Flame, the Host and the Blood of Vol! Can't wait to get my copy of that book. :) |
