| DDFreak10-17-06, 12:42 PM | Hi all: Since in Eberron the Abyss doesn't exists, nor its hundreds layers and such... and even the classic D&D demon lords have difficulties for being identified with the Couatl's imprisoned Rajahs, I wonder what use could this book to provide in an Eberron campaign. Anyone of you is using Fiendix Codex I for playing on Eberron? Any idea about what could be the place of that information in this world? |
| CzarGarrett10-17-06, 03:03 PM | There's still plenty of demons in some of the various planes, Shavarrath comes to mind. The individual planes could be sub-sections of some of the other planes of Eberron. Just a little creativity and minor alterations, and FCI is all good for Eberron. |
| He-Who-Sits10-17-06, 09:25 PM | The web enhancement contains blerbs on how to integrate demon princes into Eberron. For example, they list Pale Night as being from Xorate. |
| demonic_dante10-17-06, 10:02 PM | Just split up Shavarrath into three sections: one is the abyss, one is the nine hells, and one is __________(I forget where celestials come from and didnt want to say heavon). Hurray more demi-planes, albeit large demi-planes |
| MadLetter10-18-06, 01:51 PM | fill "Celestia" in the _______ ^^ I think you meant that (seven mounting heavans of Celestia in its full name i think) |
| DarkWarriorKarg10-18-06, 04:23 PM | IMG, I tend towards Generic Demon - Shavarath Obyrith - Xoriat (strange forms, etc) Succubi, Incubi & their evolved hentai sisters: Mabar I also assume that there has been some cross-pollination. Some obyriths moved to Shavarath, others to Khyber. Some of the Lords might be trapped in Khyber, permitted only to send out their Aspects. Perhaps the Succubi might be originally from Shavarath and moved en masse to Mabar... which would explain the Vrock connection... and why Vrocks in the 1st place? Maybe they summon Vrocks with the Shadow Creature template... haven't decided yet. Maybe they originally were humanoid inhabitants who fled to Mabar, evolved to succubi and then made a pact with a demon lord... a pact to summon a demon at need... then they get stuck with summoning one of the UGLIEST ones. :D |
| The White Sorcerer10-18-06, 04:41 PM | I would avoid putting all the demon princes in Shavarath. Not every demon lives there, so why should every demon prince? Baphomet and Pazuzu, for example, fit better in Lamannia, while Kostchtchie is perfect for Risia. |
| DBlizzard10-18-06, 04:47 PM | And don't forget that every demon doesn't have to keep the same flavor. You can take a number of the non-unique fiends and make them unique in Eberron. Maybe the only Pit Fiend is one of the more powerful Lords of the Dust. After all, there are a number of native fiends in Eberron. |
