House Jorasco: Are healing spells free? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I was reading through the Sharn sourcebook. I can't seem to find the cost for healing anywhere. Do the Priests in Sharn not ask donations for their healing spells? Seems kind of unbalanced in a city-based campaign; players clash with Daask thugs, than swing on over to house Jorasco for free healing. Why would anyone want to deal with the temples at all, if they can get free heals through the dragon marked house?

Am I reading this wrong or is this normal for a Sharn campaign?

No, House Jorasco charges (and it states that you'll probably be getting healed by them, not priests), but I believe it's listed in the ECS, not Sharn ('cause then it'd be a reprint).

Clerics generally refuse to heal people or cast spells for them unless they are a part of the faith. Even then, clerics are rare.

House Jorasco does most of the healing for people. Their prices are listed on page 121 of the ECS.

Priests in general don't hand out healing spells to anyone who swaggers in with a purse full of coin and a greatsword sticking out of their eye. If you're one of the faithful, maybe you'll get something.

Though of course, you could always find a corrupt cleric to take your cash and heal you up on the sly.

I just reread the entry and saw that it is indeed in the ECS. I appreciate the help though. No way in hell my players are getting free healing.

Just how does one swagger when one has a greatsword in one's eye? Stumbling about, maybe, but swagger? :D

If you've got a greatsword Throught your EYE and you're still walking, why not swagger?

You haven't met a lot of adventurers, have you? They swagger when they're dead- fifteen pounds of metal proturuding from one's ocular socket won't slow their pride down one bit. After all- after the Jorasco adept heals him up, he gets to keep the greatsword. :D

Maybe it's a pixie greatsword.
