| Brastan05-08-04, 10:11 PM | Yes, so much good stuff. Great to be away from 4th Ed mongers and Eberron haters. Now since I've seen so much drooling and anticipation(done a fair bit myself) I have to ask. How has this affected your current DnD games? For my part Eberron slipped into a character I made for and Epic Campaign(that won't start for a while). Rogue, Artificer, Exotic Weapon Master, and proud owner of a flying sailing ship (airships are hard to make with current rules). Any takers? *Ug, sorry about the bad header, my fingers went ahead of my brain.* |
| The_Arcanist05-09-04, 08:25 AM | Well, using a few artificer npc's at the moment. Also, in a Ravenloft campagin, one of the players is a warforged fighter. Of course, he has an obsession with fitting in, so he has taken to skinning people and wearing them (sewing fingers together to look like the vulcan sign so it fits his hands. It never quite fits right and people think he's a deformed begger. |
| Myriddian05-09-04, 08:34 AM | I offered my group the option of playing a shifter in our current FR campaign but they all thought it should wait for ECS. Not much longer... |
| fourmyle05-11-04, 05:29 PM | My DM swiped the Artificer for our Campaign as soon as I showed him the Dragon Article. They're the only magic users (except the odd Battle Mage) allowed by the royalty of one of the countries, and they all work for the crown. We've got airships too...but we had them before we heard anything about Eberron. DM just likes airships. Oh...also, we've fully incorporated Action Points into the game. Works like a dream so far. |
| stone_dog05-11-04, 09:52 PM | God do I love airships, but they always seemed forced if I tried to put them into any setting other than Earthdawn. Eberron may not have many of the ships with the way that they are set up now, but you can bet that I will be increasing the number of them or at least have a wreck somewhere that the PCs can salvage and claim as their own. |
| fourmyle05-11-04, 10:58 PM | Airships in our campaign are ubiquitous...but just in the war. We've been out in the fringes, getting slowly involved in the war itself, and have been slowly beginning to see more ships as we approach the front. While on the downside, we haven't seen one up close, much less riden one, at this point they feel like a very natural part of the game world. |
| Moonlion05-12-04, 08:22 PM | That sounds like a good way to introduce flying ships actually. See one or two, then see more, then eventually ride in one. Good idear . . . . |
| Harmony's Sorrow05-14-04, 04:00 PM | I already had a plane shift land awry in the mournlands... alll that was discovered was a quadriplegic forged, that was also blind warning them about an "ooze of acid like nothing it could imagine" (Living Enlarged, Empowered, and Energy Subsitution'ed Acid (-fire)Ball Spell)... freaked the players out and they shifted again before they met anything else... and that was only my first use... |
| OtherNiceMan05-16-04, 07:00 AM | Yes, I am actually thinking about buying 3.5 and starting to run DnD again (suffered d20 Fantasy burnout playtesting 3e). |
