Just wondering how many Warforged are in the Mournlands, I don't think they ever gave a real number and I would like a ballpark estimate to make up the composition of the 'forged there.

The ECS says about 1000 under the Mournland's population figure. I'd say between 1 and 2 thousand.

In MY campaign, the Lord of Blades has gathered aroud 10,000 warforged to his cause (though they're not all in the Mounland at the same time). I would place about half of them in a "city" of warforged (and yes, that's more than the ECS states). I haven't bothered to break it down by body-type, but I know that he also has access to around 20 titans.

Truthfully, there are as many warforged in the Mournland as you need there to be. They don't eat, sleep, or breathe, they don't need supplies, and they always have watches. I don't think that any party on Eberron will have a chance of wiping them all out, so it's really more of an encounter, by encounter basis. :)

Yeah, but even with just a thousand, thats still a sizable army, considering how many of them not only have character levels (aka, ALL OF THEM!), but how many are actually pretty high in level (there's multiple juggernaughts), and the Titans, in the middle of the Mournlands with a fortified city, it might as well be 10,000, you're never going to manage to take them down by shear force.

...you're never going to manage to take them down by shear force.

Because everyone knows Warforged are good at accumulating high shear stresses without problem. Now taking a warforged down by tensile force, that's the way to go. Pull em right apart.

Officially, I think it is roughly 1000. But like the others, my campaign the LoB has gotten his forces well over that, approaching 10,000. Plus they have a small navy (4 ships) which sail from a hidden port in Q'barra and do the occassional strike on political targets.

As a matter of fact, here is a story that was printed in the paper a few days ago IMC...

REGALPORT, Lhazaar Principalities – In a shocking move, warforged agents of the Lord of Blades have struck at ships from the nation of Aundair this past week including one assault on a tourist ship which claimed 128 lives. The tourist ship, the White Foam, was 38 days out of Fairhaven on summer tour of the northern coast of Khorvaire when it was beset by a very fast, heavily armed ship manned entirely by warforged. After firing into the rigging of the White Foam, the warforged boarded and proceeded to kill nearly every one on board, leaving only a skeleton crew who were instructed to pass the word along that this is the fate that is waiting all who oppressed warforged and who stand in the way of the Lord of Blade’s agenda of a free warforged nation. The killings were done family by family, starting with the oldest and working their way down to the children before moving on to the next family. All told, 46 children under the age of 12 were killed.

High Prince Rygar ir’Wyrnan has put out a bounty of 5,000 Gold Galifars for the capture of the warforged ship. A smaller reward of 1,000 Galifars is offered for any information leading to the capture of the ship or any of its crew or known affiliates.

The whole time the party is running around doing it's thing, the LoBster is not sitting on his hands, he's out there recruiting. And if the party just so happens to be all fleshies, and they kill a lot of WF over their career, they could actually be driving even MORE WF to the LoB themselves.

I've got around 10,000-15,000 as a standing army. I have the border countries government and citizenry believing it ot be up to 10 times that amount depending on the country and the proximity to the border.

In the true essence of Eberron I have an unknown amount of LoB spies scattered around Khorvaire and Xen'drik. And, now with the Magic of Eberron book and the Mastermaker PrC I've added a new type of LoB agent to the mix.

The really scary thing about the LoB is that nobody can really know how many 'forged he's got. Nobody knows exactly where his base of operations is located, and if he's got a creation forge up and running, he could have thousands... or tens of thousands... or more? Who can say? Frightening stuff.
