| 6FootGnome08-26-05, 02:33 PM | Is this possible? What if the human had some halfling blood (I assume half breeds aren't sterile in dnd)? |
| nyysjan08-26-05, 02:42 PM | no you need to be a halfling and you can't be a member of another dragonmarked house than the one who's mark you bear, and you can't have more than one type of mark (healing, storm, warding, etc..) there is a list of marks and corresponding races in ECS page 63 |
| DarkWarriorKarg08-26-05, 02:44 PM | 1) By RAW, there are no halfling crossbreeds. And I really don't want to imagine how (size difference...) 2) Halfbreeds do not get dragonmarks. Exception: Half-elf descended from any of the two half-elf dragonmarked houses. A "normal" half-elf (human parent/elf parent) couldn't get those marks. Half-elves also cannot inherit elven dragonmarks. 2) Half-Orcs can get the mark of finding, but full blood orcs can't. Don't ask why, this is as presented for the ECS. |
| nyysjan08-26-05, 03:05 PM | (size difference...) It's not the size, it's how you use it :D |
| Majorafire7708-26-05, 03:07 PM | You can only get a particular dragonmark if you're of the race presented in the ECS. It is only genetic in that it shows up in families of that same race. If a member of the family is not of the same exact race, then they won't get a dragonmark naturally. The only way that you can get a halfling dragonmark when you're not 100% halfling is by advancing to the 10th level of the Cataclysm Mage PrC. It's not the size, it's how you use it :D Moved to the mature supplements forum... |
