Warning, Viewer discretion is advised

After a long hiatus I felt like playing again and decided to start planing a new game. I discussed this matter with my Co-DM, we came to the conclusion that some things had to be changed to fit our and the players tastes.

And by this I mean we are completely ravaging the system and the setting. Needless to say, my Co-DM had a lot of say in what you will read.

First off we decided that the current action point system is a bit limiting. So we decided that it works similarly Console RPGS in that you have points ('n costs) in the tens and the hundreds. Secondary they are regained after a 8 hour rest period. They can also be used for things other than mentioned in the ECS.

And by this we mean things like (Includes but is not limited to):
Nonsensical Spells & Attacks (Names shouted out loud)
Excessively overpowered, flashy and exaggerated attack special effects
Creating/Snatching items from nothing (aka Hammerspace)

We will also include items such as:
An Agoraphobic Sword + sheath. Intelligent.
Agony Arrows (They scream when shot)
A Groping Kimono
A CE Vorpal Butterknife of Harmlessness
A Cubical Sphere
The Staff of Infinite Profoundness (Nitpicks everything)
Mirror of the Ultimate Truth Behind Nothing (It's incapable of telling anything usefull and will use sarcasm and irony. Appears in different mirrors)

Common reoccuring events include:
A Narrator whom the characters can hear and possibly interact with
Hot Springs
Cherry Blossoms
The Wayback Machine
Villains that are immobilized by aforementioned spells & attacks

Creatures and NPCs:
A Wierd Gnome who follows the party.
Oracle of Unfinished Thoughts (Can not finish a sentence)
The Bird of Unintentional Insulting (Noob! You Fails! Got Any Smokes?)
The Abominable Snow-woman
The Abominable Devilish Furball of Doom
THE ULTIMATE EVIL!!!11! (It's always around the corner)
Glomping Fish "Gorgiamus Maximus"
Mulletron. (Can warforged have mullets? Well, they can now!)
That guy who robs cavefish of their sight
An obviouss Aku ripoff
The WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY-guy

PC consepts:
Nuck Chorris, Valenar Ranger
You-Man, a Fighter (His archenemy? Dude!)
A Cleric, known for flaming
A Druidess with the description "Impressive Upper Attributes (made of milk and choclate chip cookies)"
A Sorceress with a taste for fancy clothes. (Made out of Win and Awesome)

This is but a mere fraction of what we will include.

This campaign is destined to crash and burn. However, my Co-DM said that it will shine with the brilliance of a thousand suns.

I wish this was all fiction. Any Actual resemblence to actual D&D/Eberron games living or dead is purely coincidental. No animals were harmed during the planning of this campaign. Certain Imageboards may have been viewed.

These just may be some of the best D&D gags since one or two of the early/mid 1980s Dragon April Fool's issues...

BLASHEMY! Nuck Chorris must have monk levels! How else is he supposed to preform roundhouse kicks (to the face)?!

Seriously however you're probably right. This sound like it has the potential to burn out real quick but if you keep the comedy fresh I think you could keep it going for quite a while. Not to mention it's garunteed to be HILARIOUS while it lasts.

You can keep this pretty funny for quite some time, and have a coherent plot as well. Just make sure that you don't force the humour. For a good look at humour, and character development view Futurama. Sure it has goofy humour, but the characters still develope and change, and they manage to toss a (possibly) coherent plot into each episode.
