Iconics: Pictures and Stats [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-25-04, 12:04 PM Anyone else want to see illustrations and stats of the Iconics mentioned in the class section? Are there any pictures of them in the book? The planning a mission scene on page 43 looks like the dwarven artificer, warforged fighter and shifter wizard iconics, but who's Mr. Stein hand???

06-25-04, 12:31 PM I was trying to determine the same thing. This is what I've come up with. Using that picture on page 43 (planning a mission) as a guide. I recognized that the shifter wizard in that picture has an unusual staff. In that particular picture, the top of it is in the picture, at the bottom, just next to the shifter, below her arm. The image used on the cover of the ECSB which is repeated on the pages between the Title Page and the Credits page shows the same four characters: the warforged, the dwarven artificer, the shifter wizard with the fun staff and the human (I think) with the bow.

The image on page 6 contains the shifter wizard. She is recognizable because of her staff. There is a human and a warforged in the main part of the image. The human has a quiver at his waist just like in the cover image. So I imagine this is the group without the artificer. The text on the image refers to Baristi and Arlok. I can't find Arlok, but Baristi is the shifter wizard described in the classes section. It also mentions her staff.

Baristi also appears on page 306. It says her name and she still has that staff.

06-25-04, 12:38 PM I think that the human archer is in error, that it is supposed to be the elven ranger Sarav, who travels with Azm and Thondred. This could be due to several factors:
1) I'm incorrect;
2) There was a miscommunication between WAR and the designers;
or
3) The illustration came first, and the designers decided to change Sarav from human to elf because they didn't have any elven iconics (and already had some human ones).

My bet is on 3), but 1) is most likely.

06-25-04, 01:11 PM I had wondered the same thing; my bet is with option 3. A few of the iconics are drawn somewhere in the book, though Thondred & Co. are the most popular.

The others may appear in other to-be-released books; after all, Kasha and Thiera are both in Sharn...
