| Callum01-10-06, 05:05 AM | In the Five Nations book, Queen Aurala of Aundair is listed as possessing a magic item called Diani’s enchanted gown +3, but this isn't detailed in that book or the Eberron Campaign Setting, as far as I can see. Does anyone know where it comes from and what it does? |
| Save-vs-DM01-10-06, 05:11 AM | Well, from dissecting her ability scores and her abilities, I think that this item grants a +3 armor bonus to armor class. I think it's more or less a way to give her some armor without actually giving her armor. This would definitely be a custom magic item. Cheers, Save vs DM |

| The Necromancer King01-10-06, 09:05 AM | If an item has a specific name attached to it (in this case Diani), the item is usually significantly different from a normal magical item of similar power. Were it just a Robe of Protection, they would call it a Robe of Protection (and sometimes qualify it with the adjective "fancy"). Perhaps it provides +3 armor bonus, as well as a few spells per day? Enchantment spells to give her words a little more weight when she really needs it? A couple of offensive spells in case something should get past rank-upon-rank of royal bodyguards? Just an idea. |
