Ideas for a pc, Please [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-05-06, 06:53 PM I need ideas for a single player game. The pc would be about 8th level and I prefer to play monster clasess. The dm is lenient about level adjustments. Oh and I do not like playing male pc's only female. Prefer non-ugly!!!
I have a hard time with spell casters aswell.
Thanx for any help you can send my way.

gnoll's are kewl little monsters with a great place in eberron

lizardfolk as well,

for sexy, Nymphs and dryads , or other half fey and fey are good looking and monsterous. (rather steep to get into)

11-07-06, 03:39 AM Warforged Artificer. That's the best all-around solo PC I can think of. Decent combat abilities as racial features (slam attack and built-in armor), trapfinding and a decent skill list, as well as the ability to cast buff and repair spells on yourself. And since you'd be a living construct, you should be sufficiently "monstrous" while also being shiny and pretty, too! (If that isn't shiny enough, though, you could also take the Silver Tracery feat.) :D

I don't really understand what you meant by "lenient with level adjustments," since they seem rather set in stone to me, but I too am fond of gnolls. Of course, female gnolls are another story -- there's an artist's rendering of one in Forgotten Realm's Unapproachable East that is just disturbing to look at. Fey seems the obvious answer, but hmmmm...I'd suggest hound archon, but that doesn't fit all that well.

Centaur maybe? Horses are hot right? Racial levels available in Races of the Wild. I don't rightly know where centaur fit into Eberron, though. Perhaps a druid of the Eldeen Reaches.

A hobgoblin Bard would be cool, but they're not all that attractive.

Maybe a templated creature. Half Fiend and Half Celstial make cool characters and they can be very goodlooking. Even Half Dragons can look good.

Lycanthropes can be very hot, in one of their shapes. Maybe a Werefox or swanmay?

I thought of another possibility for you, Sarah: Pixie Rogue. As a naturally invisible creature, you get sneak attacks virtually all the time.

11-07-06, 02:57 PM For class Druid is simply the best solo class, if you don't want spellcaster go with a rogue or ranger as both have skills that can be used.

As for race well there is the various plane touched races, the aforementioned fey touch and the half-fey. They is also drow. You could also add a template from savage species to a existing race.

11-09-06, 07:21 PM Chaotic Good tiefling cleric of the Fury. Your first philosiphy; do what feels good. Next: Dont do things that dont feel good for others. Third: treat no one as the fury was treated, suffer not the child for the sins of the father, cast not the orphan into darkness. Perhaps you suffered the same, your mother seduced by a fiendish or half fiend human and you abondened in Sharn or other available city only to be pulled from the muck by a priestess of the fury for the same reasons, themselves self taught.

Plus tieflings are pretty hot.

11-10-06, 09:49 AM beautiful Kalashtar Psion(Telepath)/Thrallherd. Ofcourse you'll need to learn psionics (which is actually quite easy) if you don't know it yet. The thrallherd, tending towards evil which is great in a solo game, has a rather high level Thrall (read slave) at his disposal as meat shield aside from all sorts of cool "social" skills and powers. I love the class and think it would do well in a solo game. Ofcourse you have to convince (read force) others to do your dirty work which will be a pushover at level 8.
