The warforged fighter and the human archer (ranger) are planning to take part in the martial competitions, while the half-elven cleric of Dol Dorn is going to have a major role in the services at the Citadel of the Sun (pg.55, Sharn book) and will be leading a prayer (during which she plans to get on her soapbox regarding warforged emancipation, which should lead to interesting short and long-term results). I'm looking for suggestions about the festival, ranging from what kind of martial competitions to have, to ideas for interesting NPC encounters, to any unforeseen events ... in short, anything which you can suggest to make the session memorable. |

Im planning to use a lot of the content myself when the next big festival comes around in sharn. When i ran the festival of bright blade for my pc's i had a boxing tournament in which one of the pc's became the bright blade boxing champion. He was a monk and demolished all my npc opponents and has now gained some small celebrity in sharn. I think i also had a foot race around one of the towers and various other minor entertainments which i made up quick rules for like arm wrestling, coconut shy's, archery tournament etc. Next time though im definately going to include a large jousting tournament! |
