Well they have completed that chapter and it's time to move on to the next. Let me give you all some background as to what's going on behind the scenes. My campaign is centered around the Rod of Seven Parts, mainly the item, not the actually 2ed campaign. The Rod in my Eberron campaign doesn't have a name yet (it needs one). Here is the history behind it. The rod was created by House Cannith long ago. It's main purpose was to serve as a recording device for Creation Forge Schema. All one had to do was touch the rod to any given schema and the rod absorbs the design. Therefore it could be used to contain an unlimited amount of schema. It then could be plugged into any creation forge, a design selected, and the give item would be ceated. During the war this item was stolen from House Cannith. As a security measure, Cannith had placed a security measure into the rod should it fall into the wrong hands. I powerful incantation caused the rod to break into seven parts and those seven parts were teleported to random locations on the planet. The rod at the time was fully charged with various schema. As a result of the break, each section was attuned with a specific ability. Cut to today. The characters stumbled on a mysterious adamantine spike just outside of the city of Freeport, located south of Khorvaire. The mysterious spike urged them to the mainland where they were led to the ruins of Paluur Draal. It was there they found a second piece. Now the group will be leaving the ruins and heading back to Korranburg. This is what I have planned from there: Upon returning to the city they will be contacted by The Trust. I have the meeting all planned out and it will not be revealed to the PCs who they are speaking to or even that they are a member of the Trust. The PCs will be requested/hired to go into Droaam where to agents have gone missing while recovering Eberron shards to be used in the creation of an item to be used in the defense of Zilargo. In return the Trust will reveal information about the rod since the party has no clue as to what they are carrying around, as well as the location of the 3rd piece. In the end of this chapter I plan on having the party in the Mountains of northern Droaam collecting the dragon shards when they are attacked. The odds will be overwhelming. Then just when all hope is lost an airship will swoop in and lend the party a hand and hopefully they make it out by the skin of their teeth. What I need help with is the in between. I plan on taking the party into Graywall first, then onto the Great Crag, and finally into the mountains. I need to flesh out what is going to happen while they are in the various cities of droaam, asking around about some people that aren't even supposed to be there in the first place. The party is 6th level and I would like this chapter to take them to 8th level. If anyone has some ideas please chime in. |

I'm not usre what they could do for him except possibly meet out vengence on his enemys in Xen'drik but he would be a good NPC for them to know. |
