It is also suggested that while these Warforged attack the PC's they are delivering insults upon them. Like what? "Foul Meat-Sacks!", "Weak-Fleshed Inferiors", "Ugly bags of mostly water!". I could not for the life of me come up with anything that just wasn't...lame. So if anyone out there has come up with some really good digs at the "organic" races that a Warforged has said, I'd really appreciate nowing them. Thanks. |
| hiryuu10-10-04, 10:34 PM | I had a sorcerer in a game (a creature that possessed bodies and had a good incentive to stay in a body as long as possible) that called people "meat puppets" and "head prisoners." "Meat puppet" is a good one; I can see a warforged calling someone that. |
| Edymnion10-10-04, 10:38 PM | Just watch Futurama. Meatbags, coffin stuffers, Bender has all the human insults you could ever need :) |
| cbolt_toak10-10-04, 10:53 PM | Also, there are good terms for Warforged to insult the Warforged in the party. Bloodhugger, Flesh-fetish, and Skinwhipped. |
| allenchan10-10-04, 11:01 PM | isnt meatbags from Invader Zim? I remember "bow to me, meatbag" being a quote :D "soft-shelled" hehe... sounds like a type of burrito, or call them "bleeders" or something |
| Edymnion10-10-04, 11:03 PM | isnt meatbags from Invader Zim?Nope, Futurama was using it long before the travesty that is Invader Zim was ever spawned. :P |
| Kesh10-10-04, 11:23 PM | "Aimless" or "Undestined." Warforged are created with a built-in skills and a job to do. They have a purpose from the day they awaken, and they know it. Mortals, on the other hand, are born as a blank slate. Each living creature has to choose its own purpose and this can lead to floundering around without purpose in life. I'd say the more Lawful minded warforged might take this stance. Mortals are flawed by indecision and a lack of purpose, while warforged are inherently destined for a specific cause. Therefore, warforged are better suited to rule. |

The Warforged are the aimless and undestined ones, not the fleshies. They had a purpose, their purpose is gone, and they've been turned loose in a big world with no reason to their existance. Methinks you've got things backwards... |
| green_yawgmoth10-11-04, 12:10 AM | Nope, Futurama was using it long before the travesty that is Invader Zim was ever spawned. :PInvader Zim > you. :P But either Zim or Bender, between the two you've got enough to pick from for a whole campaign of racist warforged. http://photobucket.com/albums/v91/yawgmoth/kittyjig.gif |
| Marshall Stone10-11-04, 12:45 AM | Wow, Thanks for the replies! Futurama I've heard of, but Invader Zim? So far then its: Meat Puppets Head Prisoners Meat Bags Coffin Stuffers Blood Huggers Flesh Fetish Skin Whipped and Bleeders, which I really like. I can see Edymnion's point about the Warforged being the "Aimless" and "Undestined" ones now that the war is over (for the time being anyways), but I can also kind of agree with Kesh's position, at least for a warforged that has rediscovered his "purpose" as a follower of the Lord of Blades. It could even be a tell tale sign, "Did that warforged just call us 'Undestined', he's probably a follower of the Lord of Blades" - kind of thing. Again thanks all. |
| stone_dog10-11-04, 01:00 AM | Futurama I've heard of, but Invader Zim? Google it. If you can find it, rent the first collected DVD. This is not the place to get into a war versus the almighty Irken Invasion Force! DOOM AWAITS THOSE WHO DO! DOOOOOOOM!!!!! |
| zambuka10-11-04, 01:01 AM | "Aimless" or "Undestined." ... I'd say the more Lawful minded warforged might take this stance. Mortals are flawed by indecision and a lack of purpose, while warforged are inherently destined for a specific cause. Therefore, warforged are better suited to rule. I think the "Undestined" comment is also suitable for the truly chaotic 'forged. "Everything I do is predetermined by destiny so I can do anything and it will be right" , that kinda thinking. I wouldn't allow a pc to take that attitude however. Going on the idea of destiny and back to topic how about "Obsolete" as an insult. |
| Doctor X10-11-04, 01:04 AM | I must say, I really like "bleeders" also. I wasn't planning on doing the whole Warforged fanatic thing at first, but I probably will, now, just so I can use that. |
