05-17-04, 10:16 PM Of course not. The SRD is free to all who want it so you don't HAVE to buy anything, but the book WILL be written and published with 3.5 rules.

05-18-04, 06:37 AM Well, you might have to back-convert a spell here or a PrC there, but the core of the setting is all the background and flavor, which will work equally well in both version.

05-18-04, 02:37 PM I think the campaign setting book will be have a pretty high flavor-to-crunch ratio, so the 3.5 issue won't be a big one. For example, many NPCs are presented in summary format (race, class, alignment) rather than as stat blocks. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to plug new mechanics like new feats, new spells, warforged and shifters into 3rd-edition rules.

I prefer 3.5, but as WotC products go, this is one that's less likely to give 3rd-edition holdouts much trouble.
