| Yare08-16-06, 05:55 AM | I thought it was pretty good. But then, I'm easy to please. I've enjoyed all of the Eberron sourcebooks and novels. |

| gleicher2708-16-06, 09:40 AM | I have bought it, but haven't read it...(I am still finnishing off the PHB II). But from my looking at it, it seems to have a little bit of everything, including new monsters, adventure sight stuff, encounters, prcs and new items (and maybe feats/skills ?). Anyways, i look foward to reading it once I finnish off PHB II. |
| cancerousmango08-16-06, 09:59 AM | It's actually pretty chrunchy, but the adventure sites chapter is very usefulfor DM's with players who say, "yeah, we don't go to the temple you spent weeks drawing maps for. We go somewhere else." You can totally pull it out of your extradimensional butt pocket with this. |
| Taurren08-16-06, 10:19 AM | I was very worried that SoX would introduce some kind of meta-plot, or provide extensive new history that would contradict what had already been published, or what I had already developed for my players & campaign. I am happy to say my fears were groundless, and that as a GM I am extremely happy with Secrets of Xen'drik. Both the fluff and the crunch are modular and can easily be ignored if needed. But to be honest, it is so full of great idea's that it's made me want to start a 2nd campaign just to take advantage of them all. IMO, it's an excellent addition to any Eberron campaign. |
| OneWinged4ngel08-16-06, 05:49 PM | I'm quite happy with SoX. Some nifty new monsters, a new (and very cool) way to make traps, lots of adventure stuff, stormreach detailed, and all that... and still leaving Xen'drik pristine. It offers tools to enhance the Xen'drik experience, without taking away any of the mystery or laying down and hard facts. This is EXACTLY how I thought it should be done. |
