Those feats aren't supposed to stack. Look for the correction in the first errata.

Search for this quote:

"And Buffetassassin, the stacking for those feats is a mistake that will be removed in errata."

on page 9 of the Ask Keith Baker Thread for the official word.

I think you can still use the feats (Exceptional Artisan, Extroardinary Artisan, & Legendary Artisan) as written without any major game balance issues; just use normal math to apply duplicate modifiers one after the other (like any good money-grubbing retailer would do :P )

Let's say it costs 100 to create something. You have a feat once then the creation cost is 75 (that's a 25% discount). If you a feat twice then the total creation cost is 56 (that's another 25% discount ontop of the first 25% discount). If you have a feat thrice then it costs 42 (another 25% off for the third discount). And if you have a feat four times it's 32. Take the feat five times and the creation costs 24, etc, etc.

Here's a rounded chart for total discounts from each feat chain:

75% = One
56% = Two
42% = Three
32% = Four
24% = Five
18% = Six
13% = Seven
10% = Eight
8 % = Nine
6 % = Ten

I'm confused. Where does it ever say that you can take Exceptional Artisan more than once? On feats that you can take more than once, doesn't it always say, "Special: You may take this feat multiple times."?

In the Eberron book, the X Artisan feats have the footnote "can be taken multiple times" on them. As lparks stated, it's been errated.

Oh, I found it. I was looking at the actual description of the feats, and not at the feat listing. I just couldn't figure out how it was errata, since as far as I could see, it was more imaginary than errata.
