Kalasthar Sentira? [Archive] - Wizards Community

In Secretes of Sarlona, a new material was introduced. “Sentira” but within the book, it seems that this substance was involving the Inspired more then the Kalasthar.

What is everyone feeling about this? How do you handle Sentira in your games?

03-14-07, 07:30 PM The inspired probably get to use Sentira more simply because they can afford the materials and time to grow it. (Compared to the Kalashtar who have to worry about harvesting lichen and keeping their fortresses hidden.)

03-14-07, 07:42 PM hmm very good point. i am currently running a Kalasthar Monk/Erudite/Lucided Cenobite. but that game is based out of Sharn, which will give me more time to grow, and create new items. thanks for the input.

03-14-07, 07:59 PM Other economic factors probably play a part, like the sheer number of inspired, economies of scale and the possibilities that the inspired monoliths make it easier.

Though basically if you've got an exceptional craftsman it should be possible.

I remember reading on these boards a statement by Hellcow that that's what those bizarre headdresses seen in this (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/roe_gallery/88216.jpg) pic (and others) are made of. If someone can locate that post for me, I'd appreciate it; I can't seem to find it.

The short answer to your question is yes, the headdresses of the Kalahstar and the Inspired in various pictures in various rulebooks are made from Sentira.
