I thought this was asked a long time ago, but I can't find it in the FAQ and the search isn't working for me.

After reading City of Towers I was curious about the face cards of Khorvaire's elemental card suits. I would also like some rules for the card game Daine and his friends were playing, but you can't have everything. Heh.

So far all I've got is the King as in usual card suits, and the alchemist. I don't know what the alchemist replaces.

If anyone has reference to a post on this subject or if Keith himself would shed some light for me, I'd love to know the other face cards and what form the jokers in such a deck would take.

Hmm, well, I was actually trying to find that post as well. I remember some of it. Let's see...

Four elemental suits (air, earth, water, fire)
A-10 like normal playing cards
Face cards: Alchemist (jack), knight? (queen), and king
"Jokers": Eberron, Khyber, and Syberis

The only new info I'm completely sure of is the Jokers. Anyone who can confirm/deny any of this would be helpful. I'm currently working on actually making an Eberron deck for personal use. I might post it when I get it finished, if that's not outlawed (?).

If I remember correctly it was no Aces, just 1-9 plus the face cards king, queen, knight, alchemist. After reading the last post, I have to question myself about the queen though. There was also the 3 jokers which correspond to the 3 dragons as noted before. I took specific notes because I am planning to create the deck in photoshop and post it sometime. I will check them out when I get home and get back to you.

An Ace is a One.
The Alchemist replaces a 10, the Knight is a Jack, and the Queen and King are the same.
