| Wycen the Clueless10-03-05, 01:59 AM | Well, we accidentally killed the King of Breland tonight. Sharn was under seige, originally by a coup of Houses, but we've now learned the Quori infiltrated and finally revealed themselves and had the king and his entourage surrounded. Well, long story short, my warforged wizard/effigy master is now going to craft an Effigy of the King to parade around any surviving friendly troops and civilians to inspire them. Our Medani cleric has taken the king's body to try and find someone who can bring him back from the dead, (the player is bringing in a new character). So we might only have to keep this up for a short time. Any suggestions on gear, equipment or anything on how we might make this ruse work better? |

With the exceptional difficulty that will come about attempting to find someone to ressurect the king, you may be better off working the ruse until a successor can be found, wheter that be diplomatic or a monarchy. |

Retiring as king sounds like fun to me :) Might I suggest some disguise rolls, in addition to some illusion spells to improve the effigy so that it can stand up to being seen at close range. Also if the siege was that deadly don't forget minor wounds. A perfectly healthy in tact king after a horrific battle might come across as weird, or atleast sow ill will from troops dying from terrible wounds, whilest all the healing was wasted on an overall healthy looking king. |

I mean was he known to carry and use a bastard sword and wear plate armor or do any of the books list his possessions? Being king I know he'd have a vast amount of resources to draw upon. Unfortunately, we only have what I can craft or scavage, while the city is still under seige. |

| Wycen the Clueless10-07-05, 09:24 PM | The cleric who took the body has most of his equipment so we have to go from memory and whatever other sources. |
