edveal 01-26-05, 11:41 AM	In my campaign my PC’s are going to have to travel from Korranberg to Zalanber. I am trying to figure out their options before they begin. I want to know how long it would take by Rail, Airship, horse, and walking. This way they can decide what is most cost effective. Help!!!
Thorgrip 01-26-05, 02:11 PM	Instead of calculating all of this nonsense, why don't you have the method that you, as DM, would prefer to be the best suited and then make a plot element fit in to it. For example: Have the lightning rail be the best alternative. Have it faster or cheaper or whatever it is your PCs are looking for. Then, you can stage a chase scene or a robbery in the confines of a train. Take a look at the first scene in Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade to see what I mean.
edveal 01-26-05, 02:21 PM	Yes, I am creating encounters for all forms of transpertaion. Each one with a diferent plot twist. I just don't like to dictate where my players are going. As soon as I do that they will say "no we really want to find an airship." I am working on figuraing it out so it is not that big a deal. I just thought that someone might have done an average speed per type of transpertation. Ed
