Harmony's Sorrow 06-23-04, 11:08 AM	Last nothing. I'm betting that when the King Of Breland dies there's gonna be another one, as much as his people love him. But they see nobody as worthy to replace him. Looks like there's a number of agendas looking to fill his place. I even expect as he ages the queen of aundair will be looking to further her capacity to usurp his throne as well. It would be interesting if he assigned an heir, or possibly placed the crown in the hands of some honorable PC or something on his death bed.

I think of Last as "most recent" like "last Thursday," there will be more Thursdays but right now last Thursday is still last Thurday. But remember WWI was not called WWI until WWII was raging. It was called "The War to End All Wars" at times. I'de imagine when the next large war breaks out it will be called something like "The War of Mourning" or "The Mourning War" since the Day of Mourning was kind of like a punctuation mark at the end of the war.

Vos 06-24-04, 03:08 PM	It was great for machine gun manufacturers. But it was also just called 'The War' for a fair amount of time. And I have heard people who lived through both still call it The Great War, or one of the others rather than WWI. It also depends on where people are from. Attitudes toward it differ, according to geographical placement. There's quite a few groups in Khorvaire that seem to view the Last War differently. Something along the lines of Thats What You Think!

An interesting thought, especially since the Warforged under Lord of Blades are intent on starting their holy war to destroy the flesh races eventually. shemnon 06-26-04, 02:07 AM	I would think both names, "The Mourning War" and "The Creation War" (or The War of XXX) would survive. It's the diffrence bettween the American Revolution vs. the American Rebellion. Depends on which side you were on ehat they call it. It also has an interesing opposite in it, mourning deals with death and creation is dealing with the "birth" of the Warforged. My vote for the cannonical renaming when war breaks out again as it has great back story.
