Last War - Any FAQ for it... [Archive] - Wizards Community

12-02-04, 12:30 PM I am SOOOO lost, I understand less than the basics of last war and why it happened even after two ECS read thru's. Is there a collection of information on this anywhere? Any site, thread, page or chapter I should read...

But short story, if I got it right is as follows:

Galifar builds empire. Each of the main kingdoms ruled by current children. Sets it up so the eldest of his children gets throne at death. Tradition sticks- throne taken by eldest child of current rule (including the 5 Kingdoms). After a while, some of the children of the current ruler want to break the tradition and take the throne themselves. So the 5 Kingdoms begin to fight over claim to the throne. During war, several regions break off from 5 Kingdoms, making Eldeen Reaches and some other place. Finally, after 100 some odd years, war is ended.

Does that help any?

It does, Kieth refers to a war over the Mark of Death, I take it it was a different war.

Any info on the standings of each kingdom on the war? Why does this not have a whole chapter in the ECS??? And where is my MAP!

12-03-04, 10:29 AM Mark of Death was earlier.

That one was when the Mark of Death was still around, the House of Vol (Elven) had it. They crossbred with a dragon, who were fighting with the Elves at the time.

Then instead of a Romeo and Juliet ending, the entire House was erradication, except for the half-dragon daughter, who is now a lich and controls the Blood of Vol.

It happened well before the Last War.

The exact sizes of each kingdom, I don't recall ever seeing a specific map showing that. But I think there's enough information in the write ups for each section saying who controlled what to draw a partial map.

It doesn't have a chapter because there's probably going to be modules, an entire book, and/or DM discrepancy for it.
