| GreatOne07-18-07, 12:56 PM | Hi all. Just wanted you guys to help me with the stats and the legend/story of how the Silver Rajah in my game came to be. Heres the Legend- Born of Khyber this 'black sheep' never truly wanted to cause harm or chaos and only wished to protect and nurture life. With the help of Siberys, the dragon above, he was changed from an essence of evil to an essence of good. Using his powers of good he began to sway a few other 'lost' rajahs to his side and they were turned good as well by siberys. The Silver Rajah along with the other Holy Rajahs went to the caoults and the dragons to teach them and train them to fight the Evil Rajahs. The dragons and the cautls learned from the Silver Rajah how to bind the Rajahs using their own power and own spirits. Once the Evil Rajahs were bound for eternity, the Silver Rajah along with the Holy Rajahs asscended to Siberys where they slumber and await the day when they will be needed once more. ________________________________________ __________ Theres the story. Now I need some help on how to stat the Silver Rajah and the Holy Rajahs. I was thinking they would get all the powers of a Rajahs but the infernal bonus would be a sacred bonus and they would have the other domains that the Rajahs dont like good, protection, and law. Any help is great. Thanks in advance. |

So my suggestion to you would be this unless you plan on your players actually interacting with these Silver Rajah dont worry about what stats to give them, just allow them do to do what ever is necessary for your story to move along. These beings unless I missed something in your description are simply the same creatures but with a good alignment or at least have some leanings that way. |

| Notthefamouswizard07-24-07, 08:26 PM | As they said above, statting beings like Rajah's is usually a waste of time. Just assume they can cast any published spell they need to for the purposes of plot and give them an array of broad powers associated with their nature. In terms of the story itself, I can't say I care much for the idea. Both because I don't particularly care for the idea of the World Dragons as incarnations of the D&D alignment system and because I don't think Eberron as written is really suited to active, unopposed goodly gods. If there was an entire pantheon of active, good aligned god-like beings in Eberron, why would they just sit around the planes not doing anything? Once the Rajahs are gone there's no evil power to hold them in check so why don't they just convert the world into a paradise? If I ever felt like including a renegade Rajah it would probably be something akin to the Norse god Loki or similar outsider gods. Perhaps a being primarily concerned with it's own entertainment and self preservation, with a portfolio based more around chaos than evil, that betrayed it's comrades and joined the dragons/Quotl when it saw which way the wind was turning. Heck you could easily rule that the Traveler is in fact an unsealed Rajah that chose freedom and relative obscurity over power and inevitable defeat. |

This sounds like a adventure more suited to extremely high level epic characters. What level did you plan the start of this for. If I was using this idea i would have a rouge rajah asleep waiting to be awakend when the time is right. This would be the goal of the whole adventure when a "great evil" threatens in some fashion. That is the only way i think you could incoperate such a powerful being at lower levels |
