| 645789003-09-06, 02:42 PM | I want to kill Olian. HAHHAHAH And conquer eldeen reaches. (AFTER DAH) How to kill the son of a tree when he has like 50+HD and 20 levels of druid.... PD: I hate pines. Even great ones. |
| (Psi)SeveredHead03-09-06, 02:48 PM | I don't know how many HD he has, but taking him on won't be easy. As a druid, he's strong defensively, and there's nothing saying he can't wildshape to look like anything else - a squirrel, another type of tree, etc, which he can do all day. Druids have spells like transport through plants that give them escape options. And then there's high powerful allies and bodyguards. He doesn't exist in a vacuum. Messing with him is going to tick off the Valenar druid delegation that was visiting him, the Eldeen Reaches rangers hanging around, etc. |
| Turkforged03-09-06, 03:19 PM | Assasinate him... Well.. You'll be dead after that but Back-stabbing a tree is worth this.. |
| Belabras03-09-06, 04:07 PM | Assasinate him... Well.. You'll be dead after that but Back-stabbing a tree is worth this.. But, as a plant, isn't he immune to backstabs? |
| Just another user03-09-06, 04:08 PM | Termites. :) |
| Zedium03-09-06, 04:59 PM | Hmm would he be able to transpart through himself by using the transport through plants spell? |
| 645789003-09-06, 08:44 PM | He is an awakened plant, and as such he is treated as an animated object plus class levels. Giving him and HD of 32 plus 20... a LOT. I think maybe an army of archers armed with flaming arrows... MUAHAHA He is very BIG hard to miss; though polimorphing can get ugly Maybe if we got a magical pesticide? WE could kill the bugs around him (as in refering to rangers and bodyguards and druids) |
| Splendide03-09-06, 08:53 PM | I would give up on murder. Better to try and kidnap some of its seeds and hold it to ransom for their safe return. :D |
| 645789003-09-06, 09:09 PM | Lol. Anyway--- Im gonna point out the obvious issues. He has some nice defensive spells, so his sanctum is most likely filled with protective spells. His bodyguard section can and most certainly will include awakened trees, animals and some warden of the wood druids. He may have antipathy spell to evil creatures on his sanctum. He has a HUGE animal companion, anything from giant viper to T-rex dinaosour. He uses on a 4 day basis the control weather spell to keep his sanctum smootthly; if feeling threatened harsh weather and fogs, if normal just ideal weather for happy people lol. And to make things worst, he is a cr 31 or something by himself!! GOD BLESS NEUTRAL-slow moving CREATURES! |
| Belabras03-09-06, 09:50 PM | GOD BLESS NEUTRAL-slow moving CREATURES! Slow? Not when wildshaped he isn't. |
| Orion Polaris03-09-06, 10:17 PM | Introducing Dire Termites FTW. |
| (Psi)SeveredHead03-09-06, 10:21 PM | He could use Natural Spellcasting plus Silent Spell to do a number on the heroes. Which of the hundreds of inconsequential animals is the real Olian? While he's in hiding, he can summon a lot of animals, then cast Wild Growth and watch them chow you down. And maybe attack you in animal form - which one's the treant? He could do the exact same things with elementals. (Summon, plus Wildshape. Woah, that's a lot of Air Elementals! Plus all those Call Lightning Storm strikes.) Heck, he can summon treants with his spells without bothering to wild shape, so you might not know which one is him. These treants can then animate trees... you see where this is going. There's also a 6th or 7th level druid spell that creates a longer lasting treant-like guardian. It's like Mirror Image, but these guys can hurt. His summoned unicorns can heal him (saving him actions), and he can summon up to five of them with one spell on a lucky roll. Or they can heal an allied treant, so the heroes see a treant being healed, think it's Olian, and waste spells/actions. How do you figure the high CR? I don't think "animated object" treats druid as associated class levels. And, as pointed out above, his bodyguard section is going to be nasty by itself. And the heroes running around trying to kill him are going to have to deal with Walls of Thorns and Spike Stones spells. This is so much fun - someone has to try it! |
| Splendide03-10-06, 12:41 AM | The most amusing result at all would be him not putting up much resistance, because his time in the cycle of life has come. |
| Talin Enwass03-10-06, 01:11 AM | The most amusing result at all would be him not putting up much resistance, because his time in the cycle of life has come. Or he could reincarnate afterwards into something less, eh, "woody"... like a giant frog or a sperm whale... |
| Zedium03-10-06, 03:26 AM | And after he becomes a sperm whale, use Nailed to the Sky on him! "I wonder if it will be friends with me." |
| DarkWarriorKarg03-10-06, 08:20 AM | Colassal swarm of dire fiendish locusts (wait... isn't that redundant?) Use a PLant-bane keen chainsword +5, enchanted to allow crits on plant creatures Pun-pun Retributive Strike Cast Oppenheimer's Thermonuclear Resolution Sphere of Annihilation Convert the entire area to a chunk of the plane of fire (Planar spell) Plane Shift him to Mabar. (5% that it works) |
| Setherial03-10-06, 08:40 AM | I'd send in Rambo, ... with chiansaw,... and some of those cool explosive arrow heads. |
| Sir Elton03-10-06, 09:29 AM | I'd cause a volcanic eruption under Olian. |
| Setherial03-10-06, 09:53 AM | I'd cause a volcanic eruption under Olian. not a bad idea, maybe we can tunnel under him and have a few artificers create a portal underneath him leading to a lava lake deep in the heart of Khyber. Then we collapse the ground under him so he falls into the portal and before he is even aware of an attack he is bathing in liquid rock :) |
| (Psi)SeveredHead03-10-06, 09:56 AM | Make sure you do it at the right time. That guy probably casts commune with nature daily. Making matters worse, Greenheart has over 1000 people, some of whom are druids who spend a lot of time wildshaped. They're basically Olian's spies. |
| Nimrud03-10-06, 10:12 AM | Question: Which tree is he? |
| (Psi)SeveredHead03-10-06, 10:22 AM | The one the mind-controlled ranger is pointing at. |
| MavrickWeirdo03-10-06, 01:38 PM | You do realize that Repel Vermin is on the Druid Spell list. |
| Sereno03-10-06, 01:50 PM | Silly question, but, all defenses already mentioned aside, couldn't a high-level Assassin actually kill Oalian with his "death attack" ... assuming he can get three rounds to study him? Where do you plant the knife to kill a greatpine? :) |
| (Psi)SeveredHead03-10-06, 02:00 PM | Silly question, but, all defenses already mentioned aside, couldn't a high-level Assassin actually kill Oalian with his "death attack" ... assuming he can get three rounds to study him? Where do you plant the knife to kill a greatpine? :) You don't. Greatpines are immune to critical hits, and are thus immune to sneak attacks and the death attack. Of course, its' the DM's prerogative whether or not to give an evil assassin PC some way around the restriction. (Getting that feat/item/poison/whatever could be an adventure in itself.) |
| Lord Kale Fangblade03-10-06, 02:15 PM | we're forgetting he's still a tree, so, heres my equation Tree + Fire = DEAD TREE years of dnd pyromania has brought my dm to tears at pionts, im all up for burning down olian, should be fun.... though we'd have to run really fast.... |
| Orion Polaris03-10-06, 02:50 PM | Tree + Wild Shape + Water Elemental = Living Tree |
| GreatOne03-10-06, 02:55 PM | Oh I have got to get into this connvo while the gettings good. Anyways I think a huge firestorm (energy subsitution of ice storm :D ) caused by high lvl wizards in the area would knock out his minions pretty quickly and it would also knock him down to where you can go in and make firewood and then roast marshmellows on his flamming ***. Anyways thats how I would do it. |
| (Psi)SeveredHead03-10-06, 03:50 PM | Tree + Wild Shape + Water Elemental = Living Tree But elementals are still immune to critical hits and sneak attacks. I like the Firestorm plan; it'll kill off a lot of minions plus wildlife, but it won't suffice to kill his bodyguards. (If they can't survive a firestorm, what are they doing guarding him?) |
| DarkWarriorKarg03-10-06, 04:05 PM | But elementals are still immune to critical hits and sneak attacks. I like the Firestorm plan; it'll kill off a lot of minions plus wildlife, but it won't suffice to kill his bodyguards. (If they can't survive a firestorm, what are they doing guarding him?) Plant Strike (I think), spell compendium. |
| Lord Kale Fangblade03-10-06, 04:16 PM | Maybe you should guide the tarrasque into killing olian, that'll teach the tree hugging hippy tree. death to the awakened pine ! |
| Lord Kale Fangblade03-10-06, 04:17 PM | Tree + Wild Shape + Water Elemental = Living Tree everything burns eventulay, water elemtals are no different, they just make steam instead. though i can see your piont, his wild shaping abilities remove his weaknesses for being a tree, but that doesnt mean he cant be destroyed by a focused stream of spells and counter spells to stop him summoning his minions. nothing can survive a sustained bombardment from wave after wave of high level spells and your buffing spell casters healing your fighters who'll stop any of them fleeing |
| Turkforged03-10-06, 04:18 PM | So, the gratest and powerful beign in Eberron.. Is a tree? We can't finde a way to kill him! He's surrended by zealous druids, lot's of sects and swift rangers.. Also, no sneak attacks, lvl20 druid... So, this wooden guy is an epic level challange.. |
| Moria03-10-06, 07:32 PM | It is a tough proposition to kill the old tree. It's like invading a country and killing its king, except that Oalian is one of the few leaders with spellcasting powers. It is easier to kill Boranel than Oalian, IMO. With that in mind, I would suggest creating a diversion, like a massive undead attack that may distract all but the closest of its bodyguards, and may cause him to use some of his spells. Then, a very elite strike team will move to the forest, and attack him. This team will need a) to know where he is, how is he, and who protect him, and b) a secret weapon/insider help/anything that gives you an edge. It is a almost epic job, but hardly impossible. True Seeing, Discern Location, Disjuntion... these can help greatly. Oalian may be a tough opponent, but he is not Elminster |
| Nimrud03-10-06, 07:43 PM | The one the mind-controlled ranger is pointing at. Really? Oalian has the ability to look like a slightly different tree each time you see him. I sort of like the idea that Oalian might actually move around Greenheart and plant himself "incognito" at various locations just to observe what is going on. So you might never know if the tree you are leaning against is actually the great druid himself. |
| Nimrud03-10-06, 07:48 PM | If he has the Gatekeeper Initiate feat, he has Mind blank on his spell list. Alternatively, a high level Gatekeeper druid can cast it on Oalian every day. No Discern location or Scry then. |
| sooperspook03-11-06, 12:32 AM | S... zealous druids, lot's of sects and swift rangers.. Hehehe..sect's maniacs! :embarrass sorry had to say it... Oalian may be a tough opponent, but he is not Elminster Meh. The only reason Elmunchkin is still alive is cos he's Mystras toy boy. The number of times she's gone in and saved his hairy arse... |
| Beleriphon03-11-06, 02:17 AM | Tree + Wild Shape + Water Elemental = Living Tree Tree + Wildshape = Fire Elemental, good bye useless fire spells! |
| NekoWorldOrder03-11-06, 02:47 AM | Seriously, I've never taken a minute to figure it out, but if the OP is right and he's got 30+ Awakened Greatpine dice, he's well into epic levels with his class levels which puts him way beyond most characters in Eberron, plus all his followers and bodyguards. Still, that wouldn't keep me from trying either if I was in a group of evil characters. :D First things first; we'll assume the characters are 20th level, standard party and they've somehow managed to get the drop on old Olie'. Lay down cover fire in the form of a meteor storm, which should do some damage and wipe out the majority of his followers...this is Eberron after all, even the hardcore ones probably aren't 10th level yet. Have the cleric lay down the previously mentioned Firestorm while the fighter buffs with potions/items and the rogue buffs warrior with UMD and wands/staves. Cast Time Stop. Have the wizard use Energy Substituted Delayed Blast Fireballs...there's no doubt in my mind that Olie's got tons of resistance to fire from various spells. As soon as the Time Stop ends and the fireballs go off, fighter should charge (with any luck, he was built around charge attacks...a Leap Attack Frenzied Beserker would be great here) and simply bash like crazy. The cleric should heal, the wizard should hold his action to counter any spell Olie uses; memorize a ton of Greater Dispell Magics, metamagiced up if need be, because even though Olie's got a ton of HD, he's only a 20th level druid (only...sheesh). The rogue should use UMD'd staves with area effect spells to pick off any surviving guards. Prolly isn't going to work, but the best I could come up with in five minutes. |
| Splendide03-11-06, 05:40 AM | Prolly isn't going to work, but the best I could come up with in five minutes. And the sad part was that this was assuming you could ambush him alone in the first place :) |
| 645789003-11-06, 07:25 AM | Lets just say we know wich wood is Olian, he can always use tree stride to reorganize and the treant idea looks scary. Plus, if he knows he is getting attacked, or maybe a standard security measure, he is gonna use control weather to put heavy rain... So much for "burn baby burn!". He can do 4d6 damage with ONE Hit. He can attack 4times and he has hardness of that of a tree(5, surpassable by fire i might add) and if that was not enough, he may have wild armor(that he can use when he is in wild form? it seems impossible though) and he may have +10 in wisdom... 30 wisdom= starting 17(he is a freak of nature) plus 3 from aging plus 5 from wishes plus 5 from class levels (each 4 levels he adds one to wisdom) So he can cast a lot of spells and at a VERY high Dc. Return to nature to the party wizard... SO PAINFULL. "Olian uses a spell and the roots of plants beging to move -Wizard: So he used entangle, heh? easy to avoid. !20! is my total. -DM: You failled, youre entangled. Tough luck -Party at unison except rogue: HELP US!! Oh, i have just remembered associated class levels and stuff, he is not a Cr 31. It seems he is a cr 20 LOL. That is very odd... |
| Korhal_IV03-11-06, 09:33 PM | Lay down cover fire in the form of a meteor storm, which should do some damage and wipe out the majority of his followers...this is Eberron after all, even the hardcore ones probably aren't 10th level yet. Sadly, in Eberron, the villains advance with you, such as the Lord of Blades. In an evil campaign, I'd assume the villains flip with the heroes, so the leaders of the Gatekeepers, Wardens, etc. would level up as you do. I'd consider kidnapping some prominent druids and forcing Oalian to come out and meet you. |

I'd consider kidnapping some prominent druids and forcing Oalian to come out and meet you. Damn, that's an excellent point. Still, a Meteor Storm can ruin even a 20th level character's day. Really, we could use available Char Op monsters (King of Smack, Hulking Hurler, Ubercharger, etc etc), but then, that just wouldn't be Eberron now, would it? I still stand by the Leap Attacking Frenzied Beserker. :D |
| Lord Kale Fangblade03-12-06, 08:25 AM | Mordikaens Disjunction should put an end to his spell casting abillities as well as those of his lackeys and minions, say good bye magical items, say good bye worthless spellless druids. and send in your minons, like your chorts from your leadership spell, army's or golems and constructs created by the artificer before hand. summoned minons and lots and lots of rods and staves, just load up on spells like spell turning and magic immune minions, they'll teach the tree who's boss. still no ones commented on tarrasque vs Olian, no one can beat the tarrasque, he just doesnt die. plus the Tarrasque could eat him, or you could employ some rough dragons and linnorms to help you, corpse tearers are quite usful and paying them lots will ensure loyalty |
| Kid SixXx03-12-06, 08:33 AM | If Oalian dies, the druids will replace him with a 20th level druid who is an awakened Magebred bear. "Only you can prevent forest fires." |
| (Psi)SeveredHead03-12-06, 09:54 AM | Mordikaens Disjunction should put an end to his spell casting abillities as well as those of his lackeys and minions, say good bye magical items, say good bye worthless spellless druids. and send in your minons, like your chorts from your leadership spell, army's or golems and constructs created by the artificer before hand. summoned minons and lots and lots of rods and staves, just load up on spells like spell turning and magic immune minions, they'll teach the tree who's boss. Sending in an army is pointless - they'll all die and fast. What are you taking these red shirts with you for? Mord's Disjunction also doesn't remove spellcasting ability. It removes buffs, and not even wild shape. It also has a limited area of effect, so it won't get all of his bodyguards.[/QUOTE] |
| papytofu03-12-06, 09:59 AM | I've got the solution, if you're willing to sacrifice a lot of things. First you need to convince Lyrandar to do that and that would be the subject of another thread. You construct a uber-dragonmark focus (maybe lord of blades artificers could help you. you'll see... your plan will help them in the futur..) for every heirs of Lyrandar with Weather control. There's no more rain on Khorvaire... And no more big tree. Ah also, be sure to have a ring of sustenance, because YOU can but I'm not so sure about HIM... heheheh So you've got a dead dry tree and a very low living population rate on Khorvaire (That's what make you friends undead and 'forged happy.) . Blade Desert for everyone! |
| nyysjan03-12-06, 10:20 AM | wouldn't work Oalian would just relocate to Xen'drik |
| papytofu03-12-06, 10:33 AM | Bah... Extend it to Xen D'rik by channeling the power freed by babies sacrifices, it's cool, it works and it's baaaaaaAAaaaaaad. Or you could use the same magic Giant used to knock Dal Quor away but this time you knock Eberron on Fernia. (Lool almost wrote Narnia... but that could work too...) Or you could even have Oalian protect yourself in your rights. Start a water-hating sects of druids, he don't harm the children of winters, why would he harm the children of dryness? |
| nyysjan03-12-06, 03:29 PM | Oalian can just cast create water :P Kinda sad is it not, we cant even outsmart a tree :( |
| Nimrud03-12-06, 04:33 PM | Control weather? Druids do it better than dragonmark heirs any day. |
| Neofish03-12-06, 06:14 PM | Well... You could always release a Daelkyr or a Rajah out of its prison to distract all his Bodyguards ( or using the later to just dealing with the giant toothpick itself.) I suggest using a gate spells ( 2 or 3) to open various gates in the Forest to unlease lots and lots of burnning things into his forest, after the forest is burned down, then you can fight him on your terms, in theory.... |
| Belabras03-12-06, 06:57 PM | I'm starting to see why Aundiar lost the Eldeen Reaches. |
| nastynate03-12-06, 07:38 PM | Just have the revenant blade in my sig attack him. On a charge he deals about 2,000 damage, and he's Eberron specific too! He could kill Oilian in one round, and who'd ever expect a elf to suddenly snap into a berserk fury and chop Olian into firewood? |
| Solarious03-12-06, 10:55 PM | I feel that everyone is forgetting two things. First: Greenheart is built on top of a Manifest Zone to Lamannia. It can literally do anything the DM wants it to do. There's a reason the old bugger doesn't budge from his spot. Second: Every druid or ranger spell cast inside Oalian's grove is extended. While you could argue that it's the result of the manifest zone, it can just be as easily as a magical effect tied to the zone, made by a tree with 20 druid levels and over 4000 years to work with. The ECS, after all, does specify "Olian's Grove". :P Not only are you facing an Awakened Greatpine with 32 HD and that nice, fresh, lemony scent, mixed in with 20 Druid levels, plus all 'his' retainers and minions, the scales are also severly tipped towards Green 'n Leafy's scales. |
| dang03-13-06, 02:11 AM | oh come now, it's not hopeless! creeping doom/insect plague/summon swarm + giant vermin. mind fog and distracting spells to hamper its spellcasting and special abilities. also, blight + horrid wilting + elemental swarm (fire). as for wildshape, it doesn't make ordinary druids invulnerable, does it? if you have a high level druid in your party (or enlist aid from an opposing sect), you can shape to exploit its (coniferous trees are both sexes) new disadvantages. plus, i'm sure that creative players can enlist aundairian aid, as well. non-sequitur: how cool would it be to have an awakened tree house? |
| Lord Kale Fangblade03-14-06, 12:35 PM | i have another suggestion that may suck; why dont we take a leaf from many of my players books; he's been known for using spells in wierd ways ... like summoning a dragon on top of my creatures, also he's been known to create a gate spell strait underneath his foes ( lets just say that Xortiat is not the only horrible place in the universe...). why dont we just create a Gatespell strait underneath him? he falls through, he goes to hell and we celebrate by telepoting away. though you'd have to stand within range and dodje his minions |
| Belabras03-14-06, 12:53 PM | Well, Olian is a damn big tree with what we have to assume is a pretty big root system. I don't think the 'open a gate underneath him' plan is going to work. For the Vermin swarm - I don't think using a swarm of animals against a 20th level druid is going to work. Blight and Horrid wilting may be limited by the fernia manifest zone. And the fire or fire elemental plan keeps running into the issue of his mad wildshape abilities. Recruiting another druid runs into the larger problem that Olian is the hub/leader of roughly all the druid sects on Khorvaire. He's one tough nut to crack. |
| (Psi)SeveredHead03-14-06, 01:15 PM | i have another suggestion that may suck; why dont we take a leaf from many of my players books; he's been known for using spells in wierd ways ... like summoning a dragon on top of my creatures, also he's been known to create a gate spell strait underneath his foes ( lets just say that Xortiat is not the only horrible place in the universe...). why dont we just create a Gatespell strait underneath him? he falls through, he goes to hell and we celebrate by telepoting away. though you'd have to stand within range and dodje his minions Those tactics don't work. You can't summon a creature onto an unstable position (like his head), nor can you summon a dragon with core spells. Furthermore, Gate doesn't work that way. You could create a Gate, try to hold it open, and somehow throw Oalian through the Gate. Good luck. |
| Lurkalot03-14-06, 02:17 PM | Succubus. Shape-change to pretty Dryad. Visit Grove... Succubus-Dryad: I'm homeless. Can I come in? Olian: Of course ... Olian: I don't feel so good. Yeah! Energy Drain every round, from inside, use his AC against him! Ought to prevent wildshape and plant walk too if you ask me. No amount of HD can protect you against a pretty girl. |
| dang03-14-06, 03:24 PM | For the Vermin swarm - I don't think using a swarm of animals against a 20th level druid is going to work. forgive my limited rules knowledge, but why? he can't charm them all that quickly... it's a swarm, after all. Recruiting another druid runs into the larger problem that Olian is the hub/leader of roughly all the druid sects on Khorvaire. really? not the valenar, certainly. and aundair was the first to support valenar sovereignty... also, some of those crazy militant sects don't universally support him, do they? plus, what about the anti-magic + melee options? he's scary when he's in fir-form, but forcing him to wildshape effectively means he's just another high-level druid with wildshape. if the manifest zone is a problem, make that zone inhospitable with anti-magic or other area-effect spells. if minions are the problem... well, minions are always a problem, right? yes, this is a HUGE challenge, but it's just kindof an evil or neutral/nationalist version of taking on erandis, right? |
| Quoriil03-14-06, 03:54 PM | Furthermore, Gate doesn't work that way. You could create a Gate, try to hold it open, and somehow throw Oalian through the Gate. Good luck. This is true, you could concievably find an unaffiliated druid, from Xen' Drick or what have you. | (Psi)SeveredHead03-14-06, 10:02 PM | Well, as long as we're getting crazy... Nomad Psionicist + (Hulking hurler + angry disease + tremendous glass sphere + 20(advanced black pudding half fiends)) = :evillaugh You have exceeded my rules-fu. What is the angry disease? Why the sphere? 20 half-fiend puddings? I think Oalian can resist a pretty girl, and might not even be able to "let her in". But I think the attackers would modify the plan to make sure it works. |
| Lurkalot03-15-06, 04:12 AM | I think Oalian can resist a pretty girl. Okay, I'm beat. That's a whole different order of power. ;) Has anyone considered creating simulacrums? Lots of them? |
| Quoriil03-15-06, 08:35 AM | You have exceeded my rules-fu. What is the angry disease? Why the sphere? 20 half-fiend puddings? I think Oalian can resist a pretty girl, and might not even be able to "let her in". But I think the attackers would modify the plan to make sure it works. 1)Festering anger, the "HULK SMASH!!" disease. The longer you're infected the stronger you get. Strength you'd need to heft so many acidic, organic matter devouring, grapple mastery, elder gargantuan oozes over your head and toss them at Olian. (I guess he'd need a level or two of cancer mage so as not to expire from the disease-y badness) 2)Glass sphere so that the oozes don't eat the 'hurler, as they cannot dissolve non-organic matter other than metal. 3)Ok. Twenty seems extreme but we want to coat ol' Mr. Needles with as much 20HD +35 grapple acid+constrict goodness as possible (...and the smiting and horrid wilting doesn't hurt either). And I guess the Nomad is just in there so that our tree doctors can get in and get out without having to take a stroll down "hordes of raging centaurs" lane... |

Couldn't Olian just wildshape into a Stone Golem or Psi-Killer? Wildshape does include constructs by level 20. |
| okaynowa03-16-06, 07:55 AM | Wildshape includes plant forms at 12th level, elemental forms at 16th. Where are you finding mention of constructs? Constructs are pretty... un-wild. |

It was from a feat in 3.0. I'm not up on my Druid mechanics apparently. Still, Wildshaping into an Earth Elemental pretty much negates any danger from the ooze or the disease. |

Plus, being immune to fire is pretty neat when your opponents, thinking you're a tree, load up on fire spells :D |
| Lord Kale Fangblade03-16-06, 01:46 PM | I have another suggestion, though my ideas have been pretty flawed, he's a tree, a druid and pretty old and wize, he's going to forsee that we'd use his weaknesses agianst him and he would wild shape repeatedly to keep changing his strenghts and aviod all of your best attacks and watch and laugh while his best minons kick us about like footballs. so, we need to make him unpopular with the world, spread lies and properganda. it'll build up over the years and less and less people will want to become druids because we're giving them a bad reputation, the darkness gathers against him in the shadows and when he's weakest we strike. with anti-magic spells and every spell caster counterspelling against him, that way he runs out of spells and has to use his natural attacks, this probably wont work since all the druids love him but kyber, its worth a shot |
| Archmage03-19-06, 03:49 AM | I don't blame you trying to kill him, though. When the ECS first came out, I pictured him as a treant-like creature, much like Treebeard from LoTR, or Turlang from FR. The PGtE actually depicts him as a massive tree with a single baleful, blood-shot, staring eye. Both hideous and grotesque, I say. Let us never have to look at him again! Kill him! :D |
