| Shining_Hand02-07-06, 12:54 AM | Im in the planning stages of another Eberron campaign and im carrying on somewhat from my last. What ive noticed is that in this one, my pcs should cross into the new millennium, weeow i say! What im wondering is, in a world where prophecies and are such are plentiful, has anyone dared play with the millennium Armageddon/world ending cliché'? I mean, its pretty damn perfect, but very overplayed. Here are some ideas, please add to them if you can! - Due to a glitch or prior planning, All/or a large group of, Warforged are 'programmed' to go hay wire upon the ushering to the new millennium. - A powerful Lord of Dust Rakshasas bonds are slightly weakened during the first hour of the new millennium. - Adal of Audair, a powerful mage hell bent on scaring Thrane into giving them back some of the land taken from them in the last war, procures an item of terrible power from an ancient Xendrik vault. The ideas are crap i know, just using them to get my point across. The pcs would ether find out themselves upon the happening of these events, or find out before hand and have to stop them from happening. This is a great exuse to play around with the Dragonic Prophecy! |

| PeterWhalley02-08-06, 06:47 PM | I was thinking along this very line myself about an hour ago, when lo and behold! lol...Anyway, the way I'm thinking is that the new millenium could well be seen as the start of a new age- and since my campaign has the Inspired as the big bads, they're going to be very worried if the Kalashtar are right. It's about time for all their centuries of patient planning to kick off, after all no matter how much of a long game they're playing, it has to come to fruition at some point. I've dropped hints with my group- the first is that the Riedran ambassadors to the Five Nations have prepared a massive celebration for the New Year- to which everybody who is anybody is invited. Combined with the fact that the PCs have discovered the construction of several hidden monoliths around Khorvaire they're getting pretty damned scared. They've got another year to try and figure out what exactly is going on, but unless they do it's going to be a Hell of a New Year's Eve for the Five Nations. Mwahahahahah... |
