| Just another user08-17-04, 05:49 AM | What happens when you hit a living spells with a dispel magic? Ok, by the rules notihng happens, but don't you think it is a little weird and something *should* happen? (I'd go for damage as a fireball, but with a save for negate.) Again don't you think the living spell should take the subtype of the spell when appropriate? (I.E. a living fireball should be immune to fire damage and take extra damage from cold) unless I misread the rules this won't happen now. |
| Alexius D'Cannith08-17-04, 09:01 AM | the description keith gave for antimagic zones should really apply (check the keith baker faq) basically the dispel magic temporarily (id say 1d4 rounds) suppresses the magic effect (ie the fire damage from being hit by a living fireball say), this making it useful for opposing dangerous ones like living prismatic spray. living maze, Living Distinigrate, the sort of things you dont want to recieve the spell effect from |

| ChrisTheS08-18-04, 12:51 AM | I wouldn't apply a roll playing effect to dispel-magicked living spells, but for a role playing element, casting one of them doesn't have much effect, it just makes them really mad. Going into an antimagic field should make it really uncomfortable. |
